Bannon pours gasoline on his fire

He ran off to Faux News (the same day he was convicted!), and you can guess the rest:

Quote

Bannon struck a belligerent tone during his Friday interview with [Tucker] Carlson, and appeared to threaten congressional staffers on the committee with an investigation into their work. “I will tell the Jan. 6 staff right now, preserve your documents, because there’s going to be a real committee and this has to be backed by Republican grass-roots voters,” he said.

“The Democrats are completely lawless, look at how they’ve run this committee,” he said of the bipartisan panel.

Bannon also repeated a GOP talking point that there was no ranking Republican on the committee, though Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), a prominent critic of President Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election, serves as vice chair. A Trump-appointed federal judge has ruled that Cheney serving as vice chair instead of “ranking minority member” is a distinction without a difference.

Bannon’s defense team said it would file a “bulletproof” appeal, but their client appeared resigned to the possibility of imprisonment.

Bannon’s decision to criticize the panel and the ruling on Carlson’s show could prove unfavorable if he is sentenced, said Andrew M. Wright, a Washington-based attorney who specializes in congressional investigations. Judges weigh acceptance of responsibility as a factor in federal sentencing, he added.

“It’s hard to predict what the judge would do between the 30 days and the one year, but I can certainly tell you that I would not counsel a client to go out on the courthouse and trash the process,”

People like Bannon just can’t help it. His only chance for leniency is his Trump-appointed judge.

He has has three daughters.

Bannon has been married and divorced three times. He has three adult daughters. His first marriage was to Cathleen Suzanne Houff. Bannon and Houff had a daughter, Maureen, in 1988 and subsequently divorced.

Bannon's second marriage was to Mary Louise Piccard, a former investment banker, in April 1995. Their twin daughters were born three days after the wedding. Piccard filed for dissolution of their marriage in 1997.

Bannon was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, battery, and dissuading a witness in early January 1996 after Piccard accused Bannon of domestic abuse. The Santa Monica Police Department crime report states that after Piccard called 911, an officer arrived at their home and observed red marks on Piccard's wrist and neck. The charges were later dropped when Piccard did not appear in court. In an article in The New York Times, Piccard stated her absence was due to threats made to her by Bannon and his lawyer.

Bannon's third marriage was to Diane Clohesy; they married in 2006 and divorced in 2009.

A little more on wife #3:

Court records obtained by New Times reveal that in 2013, one his ex-wives, Diane Clohesy, was caught trying to smuggle marijuana and a cell phone to an accused burglar in the Miami-Dade jail at a time when Bannon was reportedly paying her monthly rent at a Coconut Grove home.

The documents raise new questions about Bannon’s relationship with Clohesy and the multiple felonious men with whom she associated after their 2009 divorce. At the same time Bannon was rising as a central figure in the alt-right, his ex-wife was arrested for domestic violence and accused of using drugs in a low-rent condo building on Miami's Upper Eastside.

It's the three-times club. His buddy Trump was a member, as was Family Values Newt Gingrich. Rush Limbaugh had four, but these guys still have time.
