Christopher Wray confirmed Thursday that the FBI sent thousands of tips to Trump's team, who then decided whom the FBI could interview in their probe.

WRAY: ... When it comes to the tip line, we wanted to make sure the White House had all the information we had, so when the hundreds of calls started coming it, we gathered those up, reviewed them and provided them to the White House—

WHITEHOUSE: Without investigation?

WRAY: We reviewed them and then provided them to the White House.

WHITEHOUSE: You reviewed them for the purposes of separating from tip line traffic but did not further investigate the ones that related to Kavanaugh, correct?

WRAY: Correct.

SCOTUS is immune from criminal prosecution for LIFE!

That's democracy for yah, folks. No due process. No redress.

Best system of government in the world, amiright?

I'm surprised Trump didn't try to put himself or one of his kids on the court.

Where in the Constitution does it say that Supreme Court justices are exempt from criminal prosecution? They can be impeached. Several lower court judges have been removed this way.

It doesn't say so in the Constitution.

It's an implied right.

“A sovereign is exempt from suit, not because of any formal conception or obsolete theory, but on the logical and practical ground that there can be no legal right as against the authority that makes the law on which the right depends.”

...Under the reasoning of Dobbs v Jackson, it shouldn't be so, but I have the feeling this is one precedent the Court is not going to consider overturning.

No way! That would mean having to actually work - on a regular schedule.
Regular, productive work is for the little people; the suckers.

They would just treat the clerks as their servants and have them do all the work.

Wray's biggest sin was not making it clear at the time that the FBI was "investigating" FOR the WH. By omission, at least, he let the public think the FBI was actually investigating Kavanaugh. In the circumstances, that was fundamentally dishonest, which is why he should go.
