WASHINGTON, Aug 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate passed a sweeping $430 billion bill intended to fight climate change, lower drug prices and raise some corporate taxes on Sunday, a major victory for President Joe Biden that Democrats hope will aid their chances of keeping control of Congress in this year's elections.

Frankly, I'm stunned that McConnell allowed Biden to have this win.

This was reconciliation, so McConnell could not stop it.

They did stop the insulin price cap because the parliamentarian said it needed 60 votes...and they only got 7 GOPers.

Here is hoping the House Progressives don't try to get cute. This needs to go through as written.

It’s gone through, passing 51-50.

House progressives held their nose and gave yes votes, without requiring Schumer to kill parts that didn’t go far enough, or would inconvenience their big donors, like Sinema did.

House has not taken it up yet.
