this is an NBC story...but we'll let the NY Post relate it

Trump team won’t release copy of Mar-a-Lago FBI raid warrant
[nypost.com]

Former President Donald Trump and his legal team have no plans to release a copy of the search warrant used to raid Mar-a-Lago on Monday, leaving it up to the Department of Justice to detail the reasons for the unprecedented operation, according to a new report.

“No, we’re not releasing a copy of the warrant,” NBC News quoted a source close to the 45th president as saying.

Trump attorney Christina Bobb did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation from The Post.

anybody believing Newsweek nowadays?
The raid on Mar-a-Lago was based largely on information from an FBI confidential human source, one who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents, two senior government officials told Newsweek.

The officials, who have direct knowledge of the FBI's deliberations and were granted anonymity in order to discuss sensitive matters, said the raid of Donald Trump's Florida residence was deliberately timed to occur when the former president was away.

Christina Bobb

Then…
“…a pro-Trump lawyer and as a pro-Trump television host.”

“Shows currently airing on OANN are… Weekly Briefing with Christina Bobb.”

“…actually worked on Trump’s post-2020 election legal team, all the while covering the issue on-air at OAN. (She did not disclose this conflict to her viewers.)”

“OANN is known for its pro-Donald Trump content, promotion of conspiracy theories such as election tampering in November 2020, and criticisms of mainstream media. OANN has described itself as one of the ‘greatest supporters’ of Trump. It has been described as a political propaganda outlet.”

More recently…
“Mar. 10, 2022
One America News Network host Christina Bobb is leaving the embattled far-right cable news network... Bobb did not say…where she’s headed next—but according to the sources, she was very recently discussing a job offer with former President Donald Trump.“

From that Newsweek article:

Quote

The road to the raid began a year-and-a-half ago, when in the transition from the Trump administration to that of President Joe Biden, there were immediate questions raised by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) as to whether the presidential records turned over to the federal agency for historical preservation were complete or not.

… In late April, the source says, a federal grand jury began deliberating whether there was a violation of the Presidential Records Act or whether President Trump unlawfully possessed national security information... The grand jury concluded that there had been a violation of the law, according to the Justice Department source.

A law that, ironically, Trump had signed in 2018, in the aftermath of Hillary and her emails making it a felony to remove and retain classified documents.

This may be why Merrick Garland came out and made the rounds on TV saying they would enforce the law “without fear or favor” in regards to political considerations. Everyone assumed he was only talking about the Jan 6 events, but I think we have to presume he knew that this raid was also in the works.

In response to the Hillary Clinton email scandal, Trump himself signed a law in 2018 that made it a felony to remove and retain classified documents.

So he actually did do something that truly benefitted The People.

The sacrifices He made for us.

Somebody should shop a pic of 45* and put him in a orange jumpsuit with Hillary's Black Hat.

I'd like to see the base pick be one of 45*'s hands cuffed behind is back.

That would need leg irons, though.

All the child's imaginings aside, I really want to see him marched off to jail, no bail.

Is that what the Republicans running the government found when they spent over $25M investigating Sec. Clinton? Pretty weak sauce.
