I wonder if Putin is positioning himself for a downfall with the reaction to his latest moves and threatened future actions.

Autocrats with their backs to the wall don't usually do anything but strike out at their perceived enemies. Most don't have access to WMDs, Putin does.

He may be as deranged as Trump, let's hope he isn't.

Violent dictators often start wars to make a 'common enemy' to unite the population.

They never expect or plan for defeat.

I think he knows that his life would be worth nothing and the west would not stop until he was captured, condemned and sentenced for such a move.

A much smarter play would be to take his billions and go away. He'd have a chance at living at least...

No chance of catching or sentencing him when he is burnt to a crisp.

It is what it is.

If he runs now, he’ll be running for the rest of his life. A short rest of his life. He knows too much and he’s pissed off enough people. “They” won’t risk him getting caught, even if he could be trusted to keep his mouth shut.

So, what is the tallest building in Moscow. Or at least the one with the tallest window that opens?

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

if a coup or revolution didn't happen by now, no chance the Russians are brave enough to take him down.
