Driving up to mega-Shell gas station w/ 24 hr drive-thru car wash. 20 pump stations, and biggest gas station neon sign in the Western Hemisphere.... $5.59/gal for regular as I turn off the main street to pull around the property to get to the pumping stations. Pull up to station #10, and price on pump is $6.09 for regular, so I look up at the humongo neon sign, and sure enough, it now reads $6.09 for regular, too! Usually has the cheapest name brand gas for a few miles in all directions. Methinks this doesn't bode well for gas prices. Uh, oh.

More like a $9 penalty.... old guzzler has 21+ gallon tank, and most fill ups are 17 - 18 gals.

That's the Hurricane Price Hike. Because maybe something will happen to their refineries or their supply chain or whatever, and it's never too soon to pass the potential expenses on to customers.

Whenever gas prices are falling, there always seems to be a fire or maintenance in one of the local refineries. Then gas prices go up.

You Cali folks have to figure out cars that run on asparagus or wheat grass or something.

Where is gas that much?

We have cheap(er) gas in VA, but I didn't think it was that much cheaper.

$3.19 at Sheetz yesterday.

I was going to fill up until I remembered that my car is electric.

$3.49 here (MN) if you look around, and that’s not a club price.

Old fashioned idea.
During original gas crisis' back in the 1970s local station owners would first empty the underground tanks at prices they paid before then refilling and charging the newer price, in other words keeping the markup level.

Try to imagine current business owners operating with those considerations.

Whew. I thought my memory was getting worse (really).

$4.79 gal. last gas up a couple of days ago, $5.39 gal. yesterday’s top off.

Connecticut thanks to halting the gas tax, $2.80 at Costco. A little over $3 across the state line in Mass., at Costco.

At one Valley station it jumped to $7.50 yesterday, others seems to be running about $6.75, seems Buzz was on the front end of this spike.

Still holding pretty steady here at 13.5¢/kWh.

Around 19 cents per kWh here, I don't see an option for residential customers to get time of use metering around here. Will see new rates when the town's aggregation purchase contract updates at the beginning of next year.

We have to have an electrician install a separate meter in order to get the half-price kWh rate. I couldn’t justify the thousands it would cost because we are soon going to downsize to a humbler abode.
