Will Wilkerson, then an executive at former president Donald Trump’s start-up Trump Media & Technology Group, was at a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., coffee shop with company co-founder Andy Litinsky last October when Trump called Litinsky with a question: Would he give up some of his shares to Trump’s wife, Melania?

Trump Media, the owner of the fledgling social network Truth Social, had just been boosted by a huge merger agreement and a flood of investment that had made the stake worth millions of dollars. Trump had already been given 90 percent of the company’s shares in exchange for the use of his name and some minor involvement, leaving everyone else to split the rest.

Litinsky tried to brush it off, telling Trump “the gift would have meant a huge tax bill he couldn’t pay,” Wilkerson said in an interview. “Trump didn’t care. He said, ‘Do whatever you need to do.’ ”

Five months later, Litinsky, who first met Trump in 2004 as a contestant on the TV show “The Apprentice,” was abruptly removed from the company’s board. Wilkerson said he believes it was payback for his refusal to turn over a small fortune to the former president’s wife. Litinsky thought so, too, according to an email Wilkerson and his attorneys shared with The Washington Post and the Securities and Exchange Commission. In that email, Litinsky complained that Trump was “retaliating against me” by threatening to “ ‘blow up the company’ if his demands are not met.”

This sounds like the usual Trump effect - everything he touches turns to fraud, for the benefit of Trump. And it sounds like this guy's got the receipts.

Nice work if you can get it. This part is not illegal as far as I can see, just dumb, and it got Nunes out of Congress. But it doesn't give much confidence in the likelihood of a successful long-term outcome for the company.

Completely predictable, and hardly a word is being said anywhere except here. If it were anybody else, it would be a big headline.

Well, of course he did. Even with everything swirling around him right now, criminally, he can't stop being a @#$%& criminal.

Negative points to Litinsky for thinking he could go into business with Trump. Positive points for standing up to Trump's usual bullying, bluster, and intimidation in business dealings.

He very well may have known going in that he was going get shafted. That is why he kept records and recordings of everything for the inevitable lawsuit.

The SEC is independent of the Executive Branch. It's its own thing and now Trump is fixed in the scopes of the organization.

Defund the SEC! Because that's not good at all for him.

I get that, but any action on their part starts now, or at least at some point well after Garland's and James' efforts, and I'm getting really impatient for somebody, anybody, to take him out now, sooner rather than later, within the rule of law.



Trump is fixed in the scopes of the organization.


That's something, but I guess I really don't think about the SEC being responsible for someone getting prison time.

But then there's Martha, and lots of other I guess.

So I hope nobody slacks off because 'somebody else is taking him down'.

I want to see 45* and others dog-piled under the rule of law, with at least one if not more, consecutive prison sentences.

Greedy, but ok, that's the deal everybody agreed on.

But then 45* feels he needs to provide for Malaria, maybe in case something happens to him, how will she survive?

He could give up some of his 90%, but apparently money's tight.

Oh, thug-up and demand money from the remaining 10%, as what— a token of fealty to the Queen, that he doesn't want to cost him a dime.

We really need to stop being taken aback at anything Trump does. He is a grifter, a mob boss, a criminal, a lying sack of @#$%&, and so on and so forth. I assume he has done everything in the most shifty way possible so nothing surprises me.
