The market research company Engagious has been meeting with swing voters in battleground states. These were voters who backed Trump in 2016 and then Biden in 2020. They are the voters who will generally decide elections.

The groups are disenchanted with Biden and the Democrats but show no inclination to support Trump or the mini-Trumps. Of the 89 interviewed only 13 would vote for Trump in a Biden rematch. The meetings were held in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina.

They also have divorced the major parties and Biden from the equation. They are looking at individual candidates for who they think will do the better job regardless of party.
