After being fully vaccinated and twice boosted, I got the Covid in August. Now waiting till November or thereabouts, since the doctor quoted a 90 day period of strong immunity from having the virus.

I have a sinus infection and I go in for major surgery in two weeks. Was planning on getting it a week and half ago but it was a no go, not feeling well and an impending surgery. Was told by three professionals, my GP, my Pharmacist and the Pre-Op anesthesiologist to wait. Hate to be in the hospital with a year old booster but it is what it is.

I got COVID before I could get the bivalent booster, so I've got a couple more months before I get it.

Got Covid early-mid July, got boosted in of July, need to wait until at least November. I'll get my bivalent booster and flu shot after my ablation at the beginning of next month.

Not currently; but if a non-mRNA version becomes available, I'll be all over it.

backstory:
right after I got the 2nd Booster (Pfizer) during the first week of April, I had constant muscular and joint pain in both arms - I physically couldn't raise them more than about 45 deg away from my body (not without experiencing very sharp pain, vs. the constant dull aching pain), and would be lucky to get more than a few hours sleep at a time. This lasted (at full intensity) until sometime in mid-August, at which point my left arm started getting a bit better (and is now absolutely fine after another two months); my right arm is about where my left arm was back in August - so I'm hoping it'll be fine by sometime next month.

Bottomline, though - I don't want to go through that again; if the effects are cumulative, I have no idea what getting another booster at this point would do.

In my experience, the bivalent booster had the least side effects (apart from the original vaccine, of course). The first booster was the worst (was also switch from Pfizer to Moderna, and I used full dose as the booster).

After getting all the Moderna shots before, we got the Pfizer booster (because they were apparently out of Moderna). The post-vaccination symptoms were significantly decreased with the Pfizer.

No side effects for my family of four save for very mild pain at the injection site. Up to date all-around.

I didn't feel bivalent side effects, for my wife it seemed to coincide with another illness so its unclear what was from the booster and what wasn't.

More proof this little group here at MRF is not representatove of the gen pop. At all.

Very few Americans have gotten this booster.

I had about an hour of feeling bad after this latest shot.

Got mine last Tuesday. If I hadn't seen the band-aid on my shoulder the next morning heading into the shower, I'd have forgotten I'd gotten the shot. I shouldn't even say it, but I've been very lucky with all these shots in terms of negative reactions.

I keep hoping for a bivalent Novavax to come on the market.

Moderna upped my occasional AFIB (as well as putting my out of commission for four days) , Pfizer second booster cause very short AFIB event even though I am taking meds for AFIB now (and put me out of commission for three days). Sigh…

Interesting that you mention afib. I had a relapse of afib this summer, but I attributed it to long Covid, as the doctor said that they've had some unusual heart issues in former Covid patients. But I got my booster soon after recovering from Covid, and after reading your post I quickly did some Internet sleuthing and came up with some sites that do mention a possible relationship between the vaccine and afib. I'm going to ask my doctor whether I should get the new booster before my ablation or not.

No effects to me at all, the wife is having some other health issues and doesn't want to pile on. Her mom is going to be here from overseas next month, I hope they will get them together since the new booster isn't widely available in her country.

Friday at 5:00 pm across the street at my Publix pharmacy
I have to be somewhere M-F from about 10-2, so I wanted a Friday appointment, in case I have a reaction.
I have signed up for Moderna, but will take Pfizer, if they are out of Moderna.
Kroger has very limited Moderna and has fewer locations offering the vaccine this time, at least in my area

same. I think I'll wait a little longer, unless there's a massive wave coming through in the near future.

Had originally thought I would wait until mid fall, but some events came up and I decided to get the latest booster early enough for it to be in full effect.

Got the booster and the flu shot at the same time, different arms. Both of us were pretty sore that first night. Flu soreness wore off the next day; booster several hours after that. No illness of any kind for either shot.

Now on to the Shngles shots which I really need to get.
