I wonder how long until some adult vandalizes it. If it is, it should be left in that state with an explanatory note.

I didn't look to closely at the mural, as I'm not trying to find 'hidden' messages.

But if the student and administration settled on what the mural should look like, then that's all that should be on the wall.

FWIW I do think that there were choices in the mural that today read as political statements. Strangely, they aren't necessarily the things being fought over.

Adults were looking for something to be offended over and they found it. End of story.

The first thing I noted was “great. The kid got his Covid booster”. See bandaid. I missed the ljbtjumble reference.

She altered the original design submission when she painted the mural, but she has agreed to remove those symbols that weren't in the original submission, so most of the mural remains.

Adults can be so noxious.

Same here so I thought that was what some were offended by.

Regardless the artwork is very good.
