(Not to beat on Damon, who is just an actor, but I wonder if he has second thoughts about pitching this stuff)

Crypto.com, based in Singapore, is behind the Cronos token, which on the date the commercial first aired, was trading at $0.2017 (ie twenty cents). Less than a month later, it had reached over 91 cents. WooHoo!

Today, it’s at $0.0687 (a little under seven cents), down 93% over the past year and 30% since Nov 10, around the time the rival cryptocurrency FTW collapsed. Of course, it holds a significant amount of its assets in other cryptocurrencies. (!) Crypto.com’s CEO says everything is hunky dory.

Not a breaking story, but a continuing one. Put on this side because I think some folks on these boards have financial interests in some cryptos (I don’t, on the long or short side, FWIW) and the topic can be touchy.

Be careful out there, folks!
