Sleazy and scary. Not yet powerful enough to dump Trump, but it won't take much longer. And he's not going to go away.

The Disney World tax debacle has had an adverse effect on both the bottom line and stock value and directors value stock value above all else.
While DeSantis may be able to bury the cost so Florida taxpayers and voters don't much notice, Chapek couldn't bury the cost to his board of directors.

Other factors such as COVID play into it but sans the squabble with DeSantis and loss of their special tax status, Chapek is probably still at the helm.

I mildly disagree. It was a factor, but he seems to have lacked good enough leadership. He he took too long when the employees spoke up loudly about the LGBQT issue. He totally bungled the Scarlett Johansson pay scuffle. So the DeSantis thing played a role, but hardly determinative.
