Don't worry. The House Republicans will lead the march to their houses with torches and nooses.

Corrected: 47 House Republicans and all Democrats voted for similar bill.
That means 166 Republicans voted against the bill.

Thanks to Rep Jerry Nadler and Sen Dianne Feinstein for their historic bill.

The law won't stop SCOTUS from overturning it. The law only makes states recognize marriages performed in other states, it does not require a state to perform marraiges.

The German word for contraceptive is “Schwangerschaftsverhütungsmittel”. By the time you finished saying that, it’s too late

Baby steps.

Shore up what can one can, when one can.

To ignore what can be done while waiting to make an all encompassing rule, is potentially very foolish in the climate we're in, with the direction much of the population and lawmakers are trying to move.

But yes, realize that these are baby steps and a lot more needs to be done.

The price of liberty, etc.

So it only corrects "States Wrongs", not unconstitutional "States Right" (Wing)

Just wait.. Texas is gonna make a law that says any private citizen can sue people who leave Texas to get hitched.

You know I almost hope they pass a similar law specifically about interracial marriage with a specific carveout exempting sitting Supreme Court Justices who have been accused of sexual harassment... just to spite him.
