This piece will probably be understood by the choir they are preaching to, but I don't think it will have an impact on anyone else. Its excessive cleverness makes it too hard to parse.

I would advise them to hire some of the SNL writers who are currently on strike if they are serious about venturing into satire/comedy.

It’s heavy on irony and sarcasm, two traits that can easily be missed by the population they are trying to reach. When the population only sees things in black-or-white, no shade between, then things easily get misclassified. “They’re making fun of us!” Well, yes, because you have crossed the line into ridiculous territory and you are either too blind or too naive to see it. It’s much easier to be spoon fed what to think than to do it for yourself. Don’t get me started on their idea of “research” as that word doesn’t mean what they think it does.
