…that team Trump was directly involved with the illegal access to Coffee County (GA) voting machines.

It’s another tidbit coming out with Fani Willis’ investigation and final presentation to the grand jury this next week.

Quote

…text messages and other court documents show how Trump lawyers and a group of hired operatives sought to access Coffee County’s voting systems in the days before January 6, 2021, as the former president’s allies continued a desperate hunt for any evidence of widespread fraud they could use to delay certification of Joe Biden’s electoral victory.

Admittedly, it didn’t take a lot of convincing:

Six days before pro-Trump operatives gained unauthorized access to voting systems, the local elections official who allegedly helped facilitate the breach sent a “written invitation” to attorneys working for Trump…

Did she bake a cake (cause she knew they were coming) too?

The messages and documents appear to link Giuliani to the Coffee County breach…

Quote

“Just landed back in DC with the Mayor [ie Giuliani] huge things starting to come together!” an employee from the firm Sullivan Strickler, which was hired by Sidney Powell to examine voting systems in Coffee County, wrote in a group chat with other colleagues on January 1.

“Most immediately, we were just granted access – by written invitation! – to Coffee County’s systems. Yay!” the text reads.

All of this is waaay illegal, of course. And the rats are starting to point fingers:

Quote

“Rudy Giuliani had nothing to do with this,” said Robert Costello, Giuliani’s attorney. “You can’t attach Rudy Giuliani to Sidney Powell’s crackpot idea.

Apparently they can, and will, with the receipts to prove it, possibly as soon as next week. (And yes, the Big Guy (Trump) was in on it too).

Somebody on here warned me not to make heroes yet of these prosecutors, but damn you can't help but do that.

They kmew how to put the heat on the right people and the truth has dribbled out.

Just remember it will only take one juror to torpedo everything. Any Trumpers called to jury duty will claim to be completely neutral and capable of following the facts. Then will vote to acquit until it is a hung jury.

Yes the prosecutor has to convince 12 people that the defendant is guilty. As it should be. And jurors are sworn to follow the law, not their partisan beliefs.

I do not believe that Donald Trump is stronger than the criminal justice system of the United States. He thought he was above the law, he is not.

A hung jury with 11 to convict would still be a blow to Trumpism. And after 2024, when Trump is not president, they can do a plea deal.

No it won't! He'll declare himself innocent vindicated and his lemmings will buy it like with Barr on the Mueller report. It's the first thing they hear or read they remember, any NYC politician or mobster worth his salt knows this.

Alternate jurors. The partisanship will come out.

If any of the one term twice impeached thrice lost soon-to-be-quadruply indicted former President's supporters can even pass for reasonable people. I'm not sure they can...

I don’t see how they can get 12 truly impartial people.
Who can’t have formed an opinion?
This might be a great time to feed all the info/testimony into a computer and let it decide. Loll

I don't believe there's a single impartial jury member in just about any jury, and especially this trial, when it happens.

That's where the prosecutor(s) really earn the paycheck, challenging potential jurors and convincing those who make the jury cut they've heard enough to believe the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

That makes reasonable doubt goal posts to be moved by both prosecution and defense counsel to accomplish their missions.

That's my cynical opinion, formed after listening to an even more cynical instructor, a then active senior trials DDA for Alameda County.

Though I had no doubt of his duty to serve justice, he had two sayings:

Law is a game invented by lawyers to be played by lawyers.

and

It's not about what you can prove, but what you can convince a jury of.

Meting and getting justice isn't easy.
