The 18-year-old son of far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) was arrested on Tuesday afternoon following “a recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts” in Rifle, Colorado, said police.

Tyler Jay Boebert faces 22 charges.

They include four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony and 15 misdemeanor and petty offenses, Rifle Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“This is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time,” the police statement said, adding: “All suspects are considered innocent until adjudicated guilty in a court of law.”

But, y’know, his parent was a Demoncrat. So, fair game.

We can keep the son out of the conversation, but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Lauren's got a record of arrests as well. From the Denver Post:

While the three arrests and one court-ordered summons were for petty crimes — and in one case all charges were dropped — Boebert’s record is unusually long for a congressional candidate. Granted, this was from the 2020 campaign, but her arrest record ain't going away even though she's attempting to change districts. Her new district is pretty red, but getting more purple each year. It's a matter of time before she loses.
