Russia has confirmed that Donald Trump sent the Kremlin sample Covid-19 tests in the early days of the pandemic, after revelations in veteran journalist Bob Woodward’s new book raised further questions about the former US president’s relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The Trump administration “sent us several samples of test kits,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday, broadly supporting Woodward’s claim. His intervention comes after Trump denied the claims, telling ABC News they were “false.”

Not sure about the reliability of "Kremlin spokesperson..."

But Woodward usually gets it right.

What Trump allegedly sent putin wasn't the swab kits we're all familiar with now, it was the actual equipment to analyze PCP tests. This was scarce in the US then, and lack of testing equipment in the early days of the pandemic cost American lives.

I think what will be more explosive in Woodwards book, due out Oct. 15, is how it exposes Trump's Ukraine bravado talk. If somebody is voting Trump because they think he is better on foreign policy, this certainly challenges that view.

One of his supporters told me that Donald " tells crazy made-up stories because he likes to see liberals get mad."

Quite an admission I thought, but his lying is completely normalized for his followers. They don't care.

Weird, weird times...

Since people died here in the US while due to equipment shortage, he helped a foreign, ENEMY leader, he should be charged with Second Degree MURDER. And not "Involuntary" since this happened at his direct orders.

This man is not only a convicted criminal, he is also a murderer.

Someone I knew who was diagnosed as a pathological liar told me that he lied even when he didn’t have to. tRump to a T.

That won't be the way Woodward's message Trump voters, if it does at all. It'll be through media reports on what is in the book.

And I didn't say the book would change minds, it's just more evidence that certain beliefs about Trump are wrong.

Trump admits himself he trusts Russian intelligence more than the US Intelligence. So why would we not trust their spokesperson?

At this stage of his life and career, Bob Woodward has ZERO reasons to do anything but report the truth - something that the rest of MSM is clearly incapable of doing on a regular and on-going, daily basis.
