It's about time, girl! She thanks her girlfriend of 14 years while accepting an award at
a Women in Entertainment breakfast:

Why can't these perverts keep their perversion to themselves? Oh, yeah, self-absorption and
'defining deviancy down'.

Did she need to "come out" with a public announcement?

I realized she was gay when I saw her in Candleshoe.

Lesbianism MUST be genetic because they also appear to lack any sense of humor, including
'comics' like Our Lady Rosie of the Donut Shop.

"Pervert" is an odd adjective to hurl at an actress who has always conducted herself with
dignity and who is admirably reticent about her personal life and who keeps her opinions to
herself. I can't understand how anyone can get all hot and bothered by her expressing
gratitude to someone who is obviously important to her life. Well adjusted people don't get
bent out of shape over stuff like this.

Odd that information on a lovely lady and wonderful actress would bring them out of the woodwork. Must be one person. David Hyde Pierce and Jodie coming out made official what most people figured anyway. Not showing up on Entertainment Tonight being linked to another opposite sex star with rumors of a steamy affair will do that.

I really admire her for the strength for overcoming being a child star and becoming a great adult one.

Flight Plan playing around on TV now. Weird but good.

Clearly you haven't seen Rosie playing the character "Dawn Budge"
on "Nip/Tuck".

And Minty, it's nice to know that you can be cool and fresh about this.
Others of your political persuasion are prone to think otherwise --
correct me if I'm wrong.

I just want to know if Hinckley heard about this.. that she's always been out of reach, and he didn't have to shoot Ronnie.

He would have either converted her or had extra time to improve his shooting skills.

I wish everyone could just put it back in the closet.

I find people referring to their sexual nature, desires, appetites etc appalling. I prefer people
keep that to themselves. It is especially inappropriate when someone is having sex with
someone of the same sex. It does not seem natural and makes me a little queezy. Simply too
much info we do not need nor care to know. Everything is so gynecological these days
making sex trite and raw.

That said, Foster seems to be an excellent actress and her sexuality and the nature of
her endeavors is best kept at home

Agreed. I wish heterosexuals would stop shoving their sexuality into our faces with their marriage and kids.

Yeah really, every time I see a kid in a stroller I'm reminded of the awful animalistic,
bodily fluid-soaked, noisy activities their hormone-deranged parents engaged in.
Gross! I need a shower just thinking about it.

It's funny how people never complain about others "shoving their sexuality in our faces" when the guys here wax eloquent about the women they find attractive or when the gals share notes on the latest television hunk. It's only when someone mentions that they are gay that "shoving their sexuality in our faces" becomes a topic of complaint.

It happens to "make me a little queezy" when homophobes start posting on threads.

I haven't noticed a lot of people coming out here or a lot of complaints about it.

But I can see the distinction that makes some people uncomfortable.

Saying that someone of the opposite sex is "hot" or "I'd hit that" or whatever is implicitly stating a sexual preference (and does not exclude bisexuality).

Declaring one's (or another's) sexuality explicitly is a different matter.

This is no way excuses the a-hats who take it beyond that. The "perverts" comment merits sanctions.

I used to have strong feelings about this, now I don't care. I love women (only one for the last
15 years, thank you). But I frankly have no idea why women love men. We are hairy, ill
mnnered, we like to fight and we smell funny. We hate to shop, we hate to talk on the phone,
we hate to say ''I love you'', generally are not good housekeepers. The fact that any woman,
anywhere gives any man the time of day remains a complete mystery to me.

I agree. Women must be pretty desperate to want to even TOUCH a man. Well, that is, EXCEPT FOR ME! smiling smiley

subject....nothing you say further trying to justify your ugliness is needed. Everyone knows

There's a lot of people out there, and on here I would surmise, that would like to label you gay just for having sweaty sex with someone of the same gender.

What was that Ricky Nelson song about a Lemon Party?
