I know someone who met Hillary Clinton somewhere and said she had all the personality and passion of a piece of plywood. But anyone can good or bad days, I guess. I'm not a fan of hers, either.

Although this was my first personal experience with Maggot, she didn't change my perception at all. She kissed the Butt of her Contributors, and ignored all the working-class professionals responsible for the seamless support of that function. She arrived early, and had many opportunities to interact with the common folk. She chose not to.

Do you honestly think that any of her political comrades or counterparts would have behaved any differently?

Damn, furb- get a sense of humor man. Fascist ? Moi ? Don't start callin names bub. I just buried my father in law (Died of emphysema) last week- the man survived three years as a teenager in one of Stalin's death camps after WWII. I've heard what dictators can and will do.

And, like the famous quote goes, I've heard about dictators, refurb, and you're no dictator. Just a bit .... well, you know.

It's hard to say, since I rarely attend political functions. I met Al Gore when he was attending the Texas Democratic Convention a few years back, and he went around the floor and talked to workers, thanked the tech-types, and shook hands with volunteers.

I realize the venues are completely different, but at least Al went through the motions to appear socialable, while Hillary did not.

Once thing that sort of threw me, the rich lawyer had in his house, a life-sized statue of an old African-American waiter, complete with pin-stripe suit, white gloves, and silver serving tray. To me, this is only slightly less racist than a Sambo depiction. I wish I would have taken a camera along.

mick e likes Al Gore. When he came to Milwaukee he hung out at Conejito's Place. Anyone that hangs out at mick e's fave restaurant is AOK. He hung out with the staff and spoke spanish to some of the employees that didn't speak very good english.

It's hard to believe that he couldn't get his own state to vote for him, because he seems like a genuinely good person. His handlers really screwed him over with all those sappy commercials and pandering blatherfests at the convention. Plus being married to a woman who is batshit crazy certainly didn't help him either.

Oh to go back to the days of Lincoln when a president could be married to a kookbiscuit and not have it held against them.
