Good for them. They should go ahead and build it. Maybe they could also build a neato clubhouse with video games too!

If they built it, is would make the Berlin Wall look like a garden picket fence.

Problem solved.

BTW who owns the land on the Border? Is it a Federal reserve, State land, or privately own?

As if the minutemen have that kind of funding.

I say knock yourselves out and build away.

And yes, there is a serious eminent domain situation on the border.

You and I own it, but try doing something on that land and see who really owns you.

Strength without compassion is brutality. Compassion without strength is weakness.

We must train our minds to desire what the situation demands.

What a joke … it cost the gubmint MILLIONS just to put up the fence we've got now, and that was with all the materials coming from old surplus "portable" runways that they already owned. The MILLIONS were labor costs.

Maybe the MinuteMen should put Mexicans to work on it and save themselves a few bucks. Home Depot opens at 6:00am,

NPR visited and rode along with the Minutemen a while back.

"News & Notes with Ed Gordon, April 5, 2005 · Last year, U.S. border patrol officials arrested more than one million people illegally entering the United States -- nearly half of them along the Arizona border. A loose coalition of citizens recently began patroling the border themselves, arguing the government wasn't offering enough security. NPR's Ted Robbins reports on the civilian volunteers of the Minuteman Project."

BFD hits the nail on the head.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

2,000 miles x $600,000 per mile = $1.2 billion. Chump change in a $2.7 trillion budget.

Build it and they will not come

I know where you can hire some real cheap labor to put up the fence.

This isn't the first time citizens have had to take matters
into their own hands when the government insists on sitting
on theirs. Go for it guys!!
