Well, what did you expect them to do? Interview non-@#$%& members for the story? Ask a sociologist about the phenomenon of online racism? Question the assumption that there is such a thing as "race" at all?

Think about it. Those are the reporters' neighbors. None of them wants to wake up one night to find a cross burning on the lawn. They're gonna put on the same white bedsheets as everyone else they know on January 15th and they're going to pretend they don't know any better.

It's a rare man or woman who chooses principle over comfort.
