Sorry to see this, but very few people purchasing the 256GB would ever even notice. It seems ridiculous that the 13" M2 Pro even exists, especially in a 256GB variant other than to reach a price point. It's likely that the same will apply for the M2 Air base model. That's unfortunate, but to keep the base prices of the entry level models low, it's probably a reasonable tradeoff.by datbeme - Tips and Deals
QuoteKen Sp. Can you go back on the WayBack Machine for Costco? That's a good suggestion. I've used the WayBack Machine for many things, but it breaks down when you have to dig too deeply or as in this case, search for an item. Still, I did find a featured non-LED model that looked familiar, and it jogged my memory that mine is indeed the ProShade model shown here: So not the recalledby datbeme - Tips and Deals
Wish I could look up my order history further back than what Costco allows. I have a Costco solar umbrella that fits that description in almost every way, but (1) I don't believe the brand was Sunvilla and (2) I'm pretty sure I purchased it well before December of 2020. most likely summer of 2019. Online orders only go back to January 2020, and In-store receipts (which I don't think were avby datbeme - Tips and Deals
Some have complained about the exclusion of the Mac Studio. Here are my thoughts: I know we all want a deal, but the EDU price on the base Studio is still $200 less from the get go with another $20-40 savings on most of the potential upgrades (cores, RAM, SSD). And the Ultra is $400 less from the get go. Not making excuses for Apple. They could do better for sure, but if EDU buyers were savinby datbeme - Tips and Deals

Quotemattkime I'd grab the M2 at this point. I assume you mean the Air, and I agree—but they are both actually M2. I'm still considering the 14" or 16" M1 Pro at this point, but I I'm tempted to get a M2 Air instead, and get a next gen desktop down the road.by datbeme - Tips and Deals

I trust Google Trends to be accurate, but almost none of these make any sense. Except Kauai. That's the one I have to look up every damn time.by datbeme - Tips and Deals

I'd definitely wait until the new school year promo comes out and be sure to utilize her EDU discount. Last year that amounted to ~$50 off and free AirPods on an 11" Pro, so I'd be sure to factor that $150+ in to any comparisons of refurbs, etc. And the EDU price on AppleCare+ was only $103. I've never purchased it on a computer, but I cannot imagine passing on it for a college student at thby datbeme - Tips and Deals

I would probably ignore it as well; however, "adverse possession" is a concept that I've never really understood. Never seems fair to the party who was infringed upon. It may already be too late if you ever had a disagreement in the future or if there was a dispute when one of the properties is sold. I know nothing about the law, but ideally I think you would want to get a survey anby datbeme - Tips and Deals
QuoteN-OS X-tasy! Shockingly, Apple has not updated its home page yet to spotlight the new product announcements. That's a first, AFAICR. Probably because neither are available for preorder yet. Specs and pricing are shown. The 13" MBP is one last attempt to get mileage out of the old design. For those who want a touchbar and no notch, it's your last chance. It's been great for me. I don't love the interface itself and the navigation takes some getting used to, but I've had no hiccups or buffering, and the quality is excellent. I love the unlimited DVR. Not that I'm recording much or even watching much TV, but anything I watch even a portion of is in my recents, ready to be resumed from anywhere. I first tried Fubo for seven days, and I did like iby datbeme - Tips and Deals
QuoteDiana Quotedatbeme Along those lines, as a fellow list view user, is it possible to add a new untitled folder inside one of the folders in the list view? I've never figured out how to do that—it always defaults the top level, and then I have to go look for it. I know control-command-N will create a new parent folder for the subfolder, but that's not something I have much use for. I hby datbeme - Tips and Deals

I get the concerns of abuse, but I also upgraded to more streams to support my immediate family who is often spread across the country at different colleges. If restricted, I won't need the extra premium streams, and I will probably only pay for 3-4 months instead of 12. Will see how it works out.by datbeme - Tips and Deals
I don't own one so take this for what it's worth, but based on pricing and features, I think the 13 is the best choice for most people right now. I have an 11 Pro which I still love, and my wife has an 11, but we are replacing one of the kids' older phones for a special gift, and the 13 seems like a no brainer for the next 3+ years. Well, they are pretty darn good at making OLED TV panels. Whether it's their own models or the ones they make for Sony, these are arguably the best TVs you can buy, and they have been for several years.by datbeme - Tips and Deals
QuoteRacer X Mandolines make me a little queesy. After researching mandolines awhile back, I can see why. A huge chunk of the reviews described emergency room visits. Still, I ended up buying one along with some of those gloves, promising myself that I will always be careful.by datbeme - Tips and Deals
I once had a scare due to a bizarre iOS glitch. I individually texted a few friends about attending an event, but then I noticed an unexpected name in my recents—the mom of one of our kids' friends who we hadn't communicated with in years. I was mortified and proactively made light of the mistake, but that's where it got confusing. Because while the woman's name was associated with conversatby datbeme - Tips and Deals
Quote$tevie I think, although I'm open to being corrected, that "sweatpants" has come to mean the pants that have a loose cuff -- and "joggers" are the pants that have the cuff with elastic that grips your leg, although not necessarily tightly. And the pants that had elastic but the pantslegs were long and loose enough to flop down and obscure the cuff seem to be obsolete. Aby datbeme - Tips and Deals

QuoteForrest Hang on tight and ride it out. It’s all paper losses unless you sell and lock in the loss. Sure, as long as you are comfortable with all of your positions for the LT. If not, get out of it and take the loss. If you wouldn't consider buying more at the current price, there is no reason to continue holding something so as not to "lock in" a loss.by datbeme - Tips and Deals
QuoteN-OS X-tasy! Quotemrbigstuff Quotedatbeme How do you all gauge the life of your Eneloops/Rechargables? I have a bunch bought over many years, and I've tried to label them with "date actuated" stickers or permanent marker, but it it is a mess. QuoteRacer X My charger has a battery test function. It will drain them, then charge fully, and tell me the capacity of each one. One hour chargers are rough on the batteries FWIW. I have a good charger with that capability. I just may need to look up a YouTube video. Either the documentation was poor or my attention span was way to short.
