Awe, that’s nice.by rgG - Tips and Deals
Since it isn’t for anything except her viewing, just record it on your phone or a camera on a tripod, while playing it on the TV, and send it to her? Low tech and lower quality, but it will get the job done.by rgG - Tips and Deals
QuoteTiangou QuotergG Now if we can figure out where the derelict trailer park was filmed. It's not in the Wiki... But it's the Ponderosa Trailer Park in Griffin, Georgia. Ah, thanks. I was thinking it might be up north of the city, up near Cumming.by rgG - Tips and Deals

QuoteWill Collier QuotergG QuoteWill Collier QuotergG QuoteWill Collier The "Rambo gun shop" was filmed in an old Army-Navy Store about a mile from me. They didn't have to dress it up much for the shoot... I wondered where that was filmed. QuoteC(-)ris Quotegadje QuotergG If the situation were reversed, what would you want him to pay you? Offer him what you would want him to offer you. Winner! (the catch is that you really want to avoid any bias and really pretend the situation were reversed) If someone wanted to ride with me I would do it for half of whoever had the cheaper commute. Quotemattkime QuotergG We have waaaaaaaaay too many counties, like 153 or some damn thing. It gives the sparsely populated rural areas of the state far too much representation in the legislature. just an accident of history, I'm sure Oh yeah, no doubt.by rgG - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

Quotehal as I recall, the number of 8track quad releases was in the dozens. There weren't many. I remember seeing Rick Wakeman's Six Wives of Henry VIII at record stores for YEARS. Damn. I haven’t thought about that album in many decades.by rgG - Tips and Deals

Even though you can still catch COVID 46, symptoms are far less She isn’t drinking bleach or taking Ivermectin, so maybe not the T**** vaccines. Quotetestcase "I am debating if I need to give her a rapid test when I get there." Other than cost, what would any downsides be? I have the tests, so not a cost issue. Just doing the test, not pleasant, as you know, and deciding how accurate I feel the results are, is the only thing.by rgG - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
I think I will be waiting a bit longer to go, unless she needs me specifically for something. Since she says to wait, I think that’s the way to go. I will try to get her to get a PCR test before I go, if I wait a full 14 days. That should show if there is any rebound.by rgG - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

I talked to her this morning. She thinks I should wait a little longer before I come over. I told her we would talk about it later in the week. She has plenty of food and everything and people who will bring her whatever she needs, but it makes me feel pretty useless. I just want her to get better, but I know it will take a while. My 91 year old mom tested positive for Covid on Monday. She had a fever and a bad cough. She had started showing symptoms on Sunday, maybe slight symptoms on Saturday, but full blown on Sunday. She had a bad cough, fever, and bad aches and pains. Anyway, she went to the doctor on Monday morning, they tested her, she was positive, and they put her in the hospital mostly for observation, fluidsby rgG - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
Quotewurm Thanks for the thoughts. Rhonda, your idea is the closest to what I was thinking. In fact, I had even considered a Sharpie for brown and black dots on top of the worn out part without using any caulk at all. ;) Yeah, I can't tell from the pic if there is a divot between the two pieces, or if the color has just worn off. You can just paint the white area with a beige paint then do theby rgG - Tips and Deals
Get the white area as close to that beige background as you can, then use a couple of sharpies to put a few dots of the brown and black colors over the beige, to make it blend in. Just making the seam any of the actual colors will help it a lot. It is the fact that it is so much lighter that is making it stand out so much.by rgG - Tips and Deals

QuoteCary QuotergGHard to believe it has only been 15 years. It seems like they (smartphones (my insert)) have been around forever. iPhone was indeed revolutionary, but not the first smartphone. Smartphones were around years before it was. Nokia, RIM/Blackberry, Handspring, etc. all had smartphones starting in the late 1990's, I believe. One could argue that it was the introduction of Apps thby rgG - Tips and Deals
