In the old days, the fascia was finger-jointed redwood. (No rot). Now, it might be a good place for pressure treated wood. When gutters overflow, that wood can get wet and it's a pita if it rots.

Addendum to my previous post: If this is for Gigabit Ethernet, you need all 4 pairs. Before pulling the cable again, try replacing the RJ45 plugs first. It's not hard.

Will it be used for POE? If not there should be 2 unused twisted pairs in the cable. You could re-terminate the both end subbing a good pair for the bad and not have to re-pull the cable. Search for "ethernet patch cable diagram" to see how the devices are connected. Ethernet only uses the orange and green pairs. Blue and brown are your spares. Amazon should have a terminating tool

I use a browser extension from PrintFriendly. It allows you to delete unwanted text and graphcs before printing or saving as a pdf.

I'm using a 2012 Mac Mini with a 2560x1400 K272HUL ACER display through Displayport, but I'm viewing it at 1080p to make reading a little easier. The text is too small at the default setting, I think the Mini will self-adjust to the display that's connected, I just know it won't do 4K.

I listen to audiobooks on my commute to and from work each day in my car, and I have not found a way to increase the volume from the app Hoopla. It's a service from the public library here and so far, google searches don't provide any help. The fixes found there don't apply to the iPhone. I've tried using bluetooth with the car system and my Apple Airpods and they are both too low with the volume

The book Boyd: The Fighter Pilot Who Changed the Art of War, includes some of the history of the development of the F-15 and F-16. (and how they could have been better fighter aircraft). "40-second Boyd" was an interesting person who probably deserved more recognition than he received.

At fish cleaning time, a bunch of these guys would be hanging out by the dock feeding as the carcasses and skins would be tossed onto the rocks. A new, possibly not a member of the group, eagle would swoop down and grab a skin and depart. Most of the group would take off after him as if to get the skin back.
