It's getting harder to justify it. But we like most of the parts so I guess I'll keep paying. And paying. And paying.by Michael - Tips and Deals
QuoteGareth QuoteRAMd®d If the 4pk was recently purchased, that would be an unusually short battery life, and you should have received a low battery notification. Yup, so far, mine seem to be living up to the 12 month battery life as they are all starting to give me low battery notifications. I bought mine in June 2022. I just replaced the first battery yesterday on one that's carried aroundby Michael - Tips and Deals
I have a Canon PowerShot SX40 HS that has the equivalent of a 840mm zoom. I got it for about $200 from Target when they replaced it with the next one--SX50, perhaps? It's been a great camera but I've wanted to get something smaller with an equivalent zoom. But, I just don't want to pay the $500 that it will likely cost.by Michael - Tips and Deals
Duolingo just started a math course (for free if you want to put up with the ads!). I'd bet they'll have diameter/circumference module somewhere along the way.by Michael - Tips and Deals
He doesn't have any core beliefs (except whatever benefits him). He came out as pro-life to get the nomination. Back in 1999 he said he was, "...pro-choice in every respect." He's just reflecting the change in Republicans where most are now pro-choice to some degree. I think that a lot of politicians do exactly the same thing.by Michael - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

We've got one. It'll be interesting to see what the settlement will be. I'd be happy if they extended the warranty to 10 years for that particular problem.by Michael - Tips and Deals
Quotemacphanatic Batteries don't last the way they used to. Honda batteries in new cars are notorious for dying at the 3-3.5 year mark. Yep. A friend's 2019 CRV just didn't start one day a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately he figured it was a bigger problem because all sorts of lights went on when he jumped it. So he took it to Honda and they happily replaced the battery for lots of cash. I'mby Michael - Tips and Deals
My brother bought a Frame TV last week from Amazon and it was selling today for $150 less from a different seller. He chatted about getting the price difference and the bot said no, but kicked him up to a person. They said no but kicked him up again. When all was said and done he chatted with 5 people who all said no. The last one he asked to help arrange a return of the first Frame TV with a picby Michael - Tips and Deals
Quotespacescape I'm looking for a TV for our basement. Probably 50" would work perfect for the space and really want ROKU built in to keep it simple for my family when they are down there. Not overly worried about modern gaming but on occasion my gammer kid will probably have friends over and move his Xbox to the basement. I do want to hook up vintage consoles on occasion. Here are the modelby Michael - Tips and Deals
Home Depot's special buy for today only includes a 3 pack of Ryobi High Performance batteries and charger for $110. They're 2, 4 and 6 Ah batteries. I bought a set last year and I've been happy with it. They also have a set with one 2 and two 4 Ah High Performance batteries and a dual charger for $120.by Michael - Tips and Deals
I have considered going back to our local, utility-provided cable to get the Braves for my wife and change levels around baseball. But they don't have an easy way to change levels-you gotta call. And I just refuse to talk to people to change things anymore. The most I'll do is have a chat with SiriusXM once a year to keep the $72/year subscription.by Michael - Tips and Deals
QuoteWill Collier My folks went to one just for the free luggage... and wound up buying two weeks in Panama City Beach. The good news is, that was 1983 and we just used the unit for the 40th summer in a row (not counting when it was closed for remodeling after Hurricane Michael). We traded those weeks for places all over the world on occasion, it really worked out well. Of course, that wasby Michael - Tips and Deals
QuoteSpeedy Another non-deadly shooting but not at Walmart. 4-year-old girl in Texas shot by grandpa accidentally in stable condition: Authorities A child was accidentally shot in the head by a relative cleaning a firearm in Texas over the weekend, authorities say. Quoteanonymouse1 Heh. I wonder if I could get 4 lines and leave one unused.... Years ago when we needed 3 lines I got a 4 line deal and never used the 4th. I had an extra phone that I put the SIM in and activated it. But I never made a call and never heard a word about it from the carrier.by Michael - Tips and Deals

I agree with sewing. But before I went to the trouble of taking to a repair shop, I'd spend $6 and buy some thread and needles for leather and spend 20 min carefully going in and out of the holes that are already there. It would be easy to make it look crummy but also easy to spend the time to follow the holes and make it an essentially invisible repair.by Michael - Tips and Deals
We've liked the show over the years. I was a bit unimpressed when Selleck started doing those reverse mortgage commercials, relying on his "good old boy/I"m with you all" personna to sell the things.by Michael - Tips and Deals

We used to do these pretty regularly. The most interesting last gasp attempt at one was to try to shame us into buying by telling us, "Well, it doesn't look like you can afford this, anyway." My response was, "Nope, we can't!" and then we left and enjoyed the rest of our time. The oddest one we ever went to was at a small lake near us and it turns out they were trying to seby Michael - Tips and Deals
Quotegabester At $1/mo for Hulu with ads and $2/mo for Disney+ with ads, I'm almost tempted to get two subscriptions and give one to friends. What I don't understand is my current deal from last BF was $2/mo for Hulu with ads and $3/mo for Disney+ without ads... when I went to cancel they offered me Hulu at $2/mo for 6 more months. One can infer that Disney+ makes $2/user/mo from ads to make tby Michael - Tips and Deals
We have 6 credit cards. We use the Amazon card strictly there for the 5% back. And the Costco card strictly for gas for the rebate. And the Fidelity card for everything else. The other 3 I have very small monthly repeating charges and have Fidelity billpay automatically pay them each month. I do the last 3 simply to keep our credit score high.by Michael - Tips and Deals
I just hope the whole place doesn't go bankrupt while your inlaws are still with us. I'd bet the small print kicks them out if/when the whole place shuts down. Maybe there's enough potential "Circle of Loving Kindness" money sloshing around the place to keep it going for a long time. Concerning the MIL credit cards--can you help arrange to have the limits dramatically reduced on theby Michael - Tips and Deals
I used to use the Costco refillable bottle to spray and clean glasses but they stopped giving the stuff away years ago. At that time I bought this from Amazon and have been using it for years without any problems--spray and wipe with microfiber cloths. I also keep some tear open cleaning wipes in the car that I use when needed.by Michael - Tips and Deals
Costco fresh. We looked at them on Monday and noted that they expired on Thanksgiving day. There were people just picking them up and putting them in their baskets. I assume they'll be ok if cooked by the expiration date but we're going to wait and pick one up next Monday. If by chance they are out we'll do a frozen Butterball from the local grocery store.by Michael - Tips and Deals
