My Apple Watch does not count my “outside walk” as exercise (it used to but not any longer). The 20-minute mile being a brisk walk would equate to a run for me, as I average 22-23 minutes a mile. At that rate I’m huffing and puffing and can’t speak if I try to go faster and feel like my chest is going to explode. The power consortium that most of (at least) Texas and Oklahoma uses is under strain due to extra demand for electricity AND the record cold freezing up the natural gas pipelines. Much of the electric generation is now done using natural gas, not coal; solar arrays only work when they are exposed to the sun and not covered by snow; wind turbines don’t work well in periods of light winds or in iby Diana - Tips and Deals
Don’t know if it’s the most dangerous, but certainly not the smartest. Driving too fast down a (thankfully) paved 2-lane county road with bar ditches on each side and suddenly recalling that the right-hand turn right in front of me was a 90 degree, 20 mph turn and not a curve. I hit the brakes and found they didn’t grab. The car slewed around, and at that moment I realized that tryingby Diana - Tips and Deals
Quotesekker QuoteSarcany Quotemattkime Feels like we're at a tipping point. Feels like the oil industry is going to push some more legislation and press some agencies to slow this down. Yes, and the consequences to those areas where the jobs may disappear in the next 5-10 years are real. QuoteSarcany QuoteSteve G. As for Don 2 and Ivanka, please name one thing that either has done to indicate any level of intelligence. Let's be clear: I'm not suggesting that either of them has any greater intelligence than average. Quoterz We all see it... we all see it... The one that hits home for me is the one with the woman using her speakerphone in public. My mother-in-law does that and it drives me crazy. Quotedeckeda Lots of old homes here on the TN/KY border have small little cast iron doors at the foundation level for when the coal delivery came. I never saw such things in even-colder St. Louis growing up. Maybe it's just an artifact here of being that much closer to here to Kentucky coal? Heating the house with coal was a common practice. I believe the battery is fine; this, I believe, is the model that the airlines famously declined to have aboard their aircraft because the battery supposedly would spontaneously burst into flames or some such. My old dentist had such a setup. He also didn’t believe in pain for the patient, and I had several root canals with subsequent caps.
