Quotemodelamac I'm bering a plugged catalytic converter. the exhaust gases cannot escape. The old "banana in the tailpipe" trick. I had an old Nissan that happened to. Took it to the mechanic, and he told me the "guts" of the cat had just failed and the pressure would push it against the outlet stopping it up. So the car wouldn't drive above a few mph. He told me I could buby bazookaman - Tips and Deals
I did all the command + r variations. They ALL brought up the internet recovery option, which only let me reinstall Sierra. Now. I will admit that after returning home, I immediately started futzing with it again. Very angry. Very frustrated. So then I posted here again. Then I set it aside and stepped away. Finally, I sat down at my table and collected myself. I did a little breathing and triby bazookaman - Tips and Deals

So brought the computer back home with me. I'm at my wit's end with this @#$%&. I rebooted, holding down Command+R, which boots into internet recovery mode, which takes forever. Anyway, I re-erased the disk AGAIN. Then I choose to reinstall the system, which Sierra. But at this point, I could care less. So it takes like ten minutes, and I get this @#$%& screen. I mean. So after trying that multiple times to no avail. I shut down and rebooted into safe mode. Which ACTUALLY WORKED THIS TIME!. Got to login screen. Says safe boot up in the corner. Then I log in. Back to the good ole Mojave desktop. But I'm still in safe boot mode. If I restart now, I get that same critical error thing. Its a 2016 Macbook pro. The small one. I think. Can't really tell for sure b/c there's no way to get into the computer. Left last night while it was restoring. Came back this AM and had this lovely: A critical software update is required for your Mac, but an error was encountered while installing this update. Your mac can't be used until this update is installed. Shut Down. Try Again.by bazookaman - Tips and Deals

Nope. Nothing sees the drive. But then I run the Apple Diagnostic and it says everything is AOK. So its all software. Booted into recovery mode and I can see Apple APFS Media with Preboot, Recovery, and VM underneath it. Its showing as uninitialized. And empty. I also see APPLE SSD AP0512J Media. Nothing underneath it. It shows as full. I want to erase one of them. Or try to. But I doby bazookaman - Tips and Deals

Tried to update my moms laptop to Monterrey. It crapped out at some point. Now I got nothing. Literally nothing. It boots. Then kernel panics. Then reboots. Then kernel panics. Again. And again. I tried safe booting. Kernel panic. Tried all the other boot options. Kernel panic. Finally tried restoring from network. Even though it would mean going back to Sierra. She WAS on Catalina. Quotegadje I am not sure why this showed up in my YouTube feed, but I did learn something new. How To DRY POUR CONCRETE SLAB I watched this one a couple of days ago, as it also popped up in my feed. My boss and I joke that YouTube thinks we're the same people b/c there are so many times when he'll tell me something he just saw, and I've already seen it. QuoteTiangou Looks like a font cache problem. Intel? If so then try clearing your system font caches by doing a safe-boot. (Can also clear Office font caches, but that's a bigger pain.) Reboot. Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard immediately after the chime. Continue to hold down the Shift key until you see the progress-bar appear. Watch for it to get to the login window, aby bazookaman - Tips and Deals

QuoteRolando Give the last two movies I've seen from Marvel, Wakanda Forever and Love & Thunder, I cannot say I'm too surprised. I expected a lighter tone from this one, tho. I will wait for the Disney+ premier. I am looking forward to the next Guardians of the Galaxy. Me too. I enjoyed Wakanda. Not as much as the first one. But I liked Namor. Love and Thunder? Ugh. So I was diagnosed probably 20 years ago. I had horrible bouts of vertigo that would lay me out for a couple of hours. Just laying there, hoping I could fall asleep. Then I wouldn't be right for another week. Over the years, that faded, and I had a constant but milder form of dizziness. Sometimes with accompanying nausea, sometimes not. Along with the tinnitus and hearing loss. Anyway, I'd havby bazookaman - Tips and Deals
