When I add shows, I always create a folder for the show, then a season folder, and then I'm sure to follow the S01E01-type nomenclature in the file name. My metadata is usually correct but sometimes I have to tinker with it, especially movies. We do the same thing for a team of six. There's no way to completely skip the legwork but once you find a location, you can use it over and over so it gets easier every time. You go into the Sonos app and integrate Apple Music into it (there is an authorization/linking step) and Sonos controls the playback - no other app needed. Of course, you can Airplay if you want to but you don't have to.
