QuoteAllGold Third, not sure what "ball joint bushings" are. Don't most ball joints contain rubber bushings? No, ball joints do not contain bushings. They are a metal ball/socket with a rubber boot that holds grease inside. Does the clunking noise change when turning left or right? If so, that generally points to CV joints/axles. No. How many miles on the Equinox? Wheeby Cary - Tips and Deals
Quotemattkime QuoteCaryfind an honest, good, reasonable mechanic, and trust/pay him/her to do the job correctly You say this like its easy I would posit that it's easier today than 10, 20, 30 years ago, before Yelp/Google reviews/forums... QuoteGareth QuoteCary "Do you bring your own eggs into a diner and ask them to cook them for you?" It's never occurred to me to bring my own eggs, because I do not get an invoice from the restaurant that is broken down between ingredients and cooking labor. But, some restaurants do allow you to bring your own wine and charge a corkage fee to open it. Do you, as a mechanic, offeby Cary - Tips and Deals
I'm confused. Firstly, that a dealer would agree to install customer supplied, non OEM parts. Secondly, that the dealer who agreed to install these non-OEM parts installed a "wrong sized" part, and said nothing about it, and that afterwards said it was not a safety issue. Third, not sure what "ball joint bushings" are. Does the clunking noise change when turning leby Cary - Tips and Deals

Nope - no goo or glue. Hand tight, run water. If it leaks, tighten the nut half a turn. If it still leaks, make sure the pipes are straight.by Cary - Tips and Deals
QuoteFritz I'm out of non-setting PVC pipe goo. Are they all the same or is one better than others? Homies has Hercules. Lowes has Rector products. Or is there something better to be had at the plumbing supply place? What do you need PVC pipe "goo" for a P trap for? Are you gluing it together? If so, I recommend against doing so. I bought a new M1 Mac Mini ~6 months ago for my work computer. At first, it was great. It continues to be good, mostly. Running OS 12.1, 8/256 with a 1TB external SSD, using a case recommended here. There are 2 issues vexing me: 1. Slows down to a crawl (intermittently) in Chrome and Firefox. I use different browsers for different tasks. Restarting the computer resolves this, for a whby Cary - Tips and Deals

From my perspective, most, if not all car manufacturers are using supply chain shortages as an excuse to stop making replacement parts. I have a 2014 Ford CMAX Hybrid in the shop. Carfax is an incomplete (at best) and a misleading (at worst) database. It presents information that may be correct, or may not be correct, as if it's vetted, correct info. I'd take anything in there with a grain of salt.by Cary - Tips and Deals

I sold a Fitbit on eBay. It's new, in original packaging. I gave the model number in the description. The listing was "returns not accepted". Quotebtfc 36" X 4 feet is what I envisioned; first thought was to clamp and glue, and worry about more structure when designing the base. Do you have a biscuit joiner? If so, glue and biscuits. If not, a 32" X 12" piece of plywood centered on the 2 pieces butted together, with glue and screws staggered along the bottom of both pieces.by Cary - Tips and Deals
