The Cruise Automation vehicles do this if they lose cell phone coverage. It’s somewhat common during sports events or concerts where the cell network gets overwhelmed. EVs are greater than 25% of all new vehicle sales in the EU. They're closing in on 10% in the US. In China I think they're over 50%. Between those three markets, that's probably close to 30% of all vehicle sales. So EVs are definitely out of the niche category. It doesn't feel like it in the US, but the low population density of the US makes new tech deployment that requires widespread adoptby ztirffritz - Tips and Deals

My driving routine won't be changing, but I'll eventually retire my Volt and exchange it for a Tesla. I drive about 30-40 miles daily. I can charge overnight from 120v household outlet at 8A. At 12A I can charge a bit faster, but it's hard on the outlet and dangerous with an extension cord. I'll probably pull a 240v line to my driveway eventually so that I can charge whatever I want.by ztirffritz - Tips and Deals

Do you use any web meeting software? My mother in law uses Zoom and routinely forgets to stop the stream, so the camera runs for hours. They don't expect to get those demands. That's a starting point GM, Ford, and Stellantis will come back with an equally ridiculous offer the other direction. They'll go back and forth and meet in the middle. The UAW has funds to support an 11week strike. The automakers will likely use this opportunity to shed unprofitably domestic operations. $12k. The problem here is clearly the driver. Basic Autopilot isn’t marketed as a level 4+ ADAS. It’s essentially cruise control with some additional ADAS functions. FSD on the other hand is getting very close to level 4+. I’m sure Tesla will improve autopilot to improve responses in this or similar situations but if the driver is drunk and he’s responsible for the operation of the vehicby ztirffritz - Tips and Deals

Our local GOs are nice stores but it’s hard to shop there exclusively. They don’t reliably have staples. They might have flour. Or not. They might have canned soup. Or not. Juice? Maybe. Direct Lithium Extraction makes brine extraction more feasible and cost effective. There are several companies working to bring DLE to commercial use. EnergyX actually did it in Chile briefly while testing their process. There are companies setting up shop around the Salton Sea working to extract lithium from there as well. I think ya'll are mixing up Falcon9, Falcon Heavy and Starship. Falcon 9 is a booster/rocket pair with 9 Falcon engines. Falcon Heavy is 3 Falcon 9s strapped together more or less. Starship is an ENORMOUS ambitious project that makes the Saturn 5 seem somewhat pedestrian in comparison. Not so much in its height, but in lifting capacity.
