Wonderful review. Technological marvel. One very fugly vehicle. But I could never afford to own one anyway.by wurm - Tips and Deals
I'm in a similar situation, but on a much smaller scale. I ordered early to avoid the last minute scramble, but they arrived yesterday. I'm delivering them next week. As my wife reminded me, so many people take time off around the holidays, this way you'll be sure they get them before going away.by wurm - Tips and Deals
I used to bring my used oil to the local transfer station when I bring my trash. There's a big tank there to dump it into. But the last time I changed it, I just poured it into an empty oil jug I had from a previous change and dropped it off at the local Walmart. I guess there is at least one advantage to living in MA. Only Massachusetts requires retailers to accept used oil from their customeby wurm - Tips and Deals
You're going to get more info than you know what to do with. And when you're done reading new replies to this thread, you can search the forum and read through all those replies, then jump onto YouTube and watch clips until your head spins. Of course you can google if you're really bored. Everybody's an expert, but what's right for someone else may not be right for you and vice versa. I signeby wurm - Tips and Deals

And more importantly (for me) is that I know it will be done right. I've heard and read far too many horror stories about forgotten drain plugs, wrong oil, notv enough oil, too much oil, etc. And oh yeah, my local dealer charges $129 with a coupon for a synthetic oil change. I can do it for a little more than $30 and about a half hour of my time. The dealer or the local shop charge around $60-by wurm - Tips and Deals
It wasn't so much the dealer aspect, but rather the OEM filter. And yes, I know they can't deny a warranty claim based solely on that, either. I do keep good records, so I'm not really concerned. It still amazes me that some dealers will scare people into having the actual service done at the dealer, using the "won't be covered unless" fallacy. Correction. It doesn't amaze me that thby wurm - Tips and Deals
QuoteDeusxMac Cliff Clavin’s mom! Thank you! I recognized her, but couldn't remember from where.by wurm - Tips and Deals
Thanks. That's kind of what I figured. And these include the crush washer for the drain plug, which the dealer charges extra for.by wurm - Tips and Deals
I do my own oil changes, and usually buy the filter from the dealer just so there's less of a likelihood of a warranty beef. Instead of buying one at a time, this time I figured I'd search a little and I found a good price on a pack of six OEM filters. I received the package today and the filters and boxes they came in sure look genuine, down to the Hyundai Kia Genuine Parts logo, manufacturers'by wurm - Tips and Deals
If they have cable TV and are use to going directly from one channel to another (say channel 13 to channel 143), it does not allow that. There are no number inputs, only up/down arrows. So you have to step through every channel to get where you want to go. That's one of the biggest frustrations I've found with Roku and its remote, after cutting the cord (FiOS). Still getting used to that.by wurm - Tips and Deals
We had one in the house when I was growing up. Four boys and two parents. It was all we knew so I guess it was fine. One other thing to consider in addition to GGD's comment is that if/when something breaks, you can't use either while it's being fixed. We actually considered one when my wife and I needed a new machine last year, but we had further space constraints and ended up with a one piecby wurm - Tips and Deals

I was reading on the sofa a little while ago and my wife came home and said something like "Good. You're alive." Apparently she sent me a couple of texts that I never received and a call that went right to Voicemail...for which I also received no Notification. Her phone says says they were sent. So I sent her a text which she received and I called her, which she received. She tried callby wurm - Tips and Deals
I wonder if in instances like this (and with a deer over-population), is there a possibility of providing food to those who might need it? Are feral hogs even edible/tasty? Some people like venison. I mean if they're going to be killed anyway. Yes, they'd need to be processed and packaged, but would it be practical? Just wonderin'.by wurm - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
QuoteOmbligo I recall a store, no idea what the name was as it has since closed, that required you to be buzzed in through locked front doors and everything was a single item on display. You took the item number and it was sent to a cashier via a conveyor belt from the stock room. Excellent prices but what a hassle as this was long before smartphones. Sounds like my one visit to a dispensary foby wurm - Tips and Deals

My first thought with either of them is...your tax dollars at work. Right up there with Inauguration parties. Even if it's budgeted, it's money better spent elsewhere. Yeah, bah humbug and get off my lawn. Sorry.by wurm - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

Interesting. I just checked and it looks like (at least here in MA) Advance Auto Parts does offer free installation of a car battery, but AutoZone and O'Reilly do not. Or at least they don't say they do, as Advance does. Frankly I thought they all did.by wurm - Tips and Deals
I will confess that on a couple of occasions some of my bikes over the years failed to start. After cursing the darkness and everything and everyone I know, to my chagrin it turned out to be the Stop/Run switch left in the Stop position. I did that on the first bike I test rode after my 30+ year lapse in riding. Now that's the first thing I check when it doesn't start right up. The Honda Gby wurm - Tips and Deals

As noted in my reply in the Amazon/monopoly thread: As for calling, I used to hunt for the number, but then I started just using the option to have them call me (after having to select "something else' when asked what I need help with). Someone usually calls me back within seconds, and I've always been able to get the problem solved to my satisfaction.by wurm - Tips and Deals
QuoteTheTominator Quoterz Had Audio Hijack years and years ago. Even with the sale though, I think the price is a bit high at $50. They now have another product, Piezo, that does the essentials of what Audio Hijack does but at a lower price and a simpler user interface. I have not tried it, but I'm considering getting it instead of Audio Hijack. How do Audio Hijack and Piezo compare to eacby wurm - Tips and Deals

I started to write this when I first saw the post, but never finished it. I agree that if the original is still in the return period, return that one. Why even risk the serial number issue? Plus, this way, you get a brand new version of what you want at the lower price. I'll assume it's a free return kind of thing. I just took a stroll down memory lane with the Professor Of Rock (great music stories and interviews) and his tale of the song. I know most of us are old enough to remember it. And we probably all made up our own lyrics. Now all they have to do is get Peter Jackson to work the magic he did isolating Lennon's voice for the "new" Beatles song and we'll all finally know what the Kingsmby wurm - Tips and Deals
