I was with my wife vacationing on the coast of Maine. We were in a little pottery store on the main square in Bar Harbor and there was a radio playing music. While we were there the music stopped for a breaking news announcement that a plane had struck the World Trade Center. Only later did we realize the magnitude of the events unfolding. Great timing! I just got a new Mac Mini with Big Sur this weekend and the first time I clicked the font list in Photoshop I was like WTF!?! Tried the app mentioned above. Well worth the $7. One click and it disabled 407 unneeded fonts. Thanks!by archipirata - Tips and Deals

Like Z, I had a DSC-R1, one of the best cameras I ever owned. I have been using Sony A mount full frame cameras for the last 12 years, and Minolta (same mount) before that. Started with the A900, now mostly using the A99II. I have so much invested into high-end A-mount glass that I'll keep using the system even though it is now obsolete. My series 3 got stuck in a half-updated state a while ago. I remember that I had to do a full reset (factory) on the watch then start the full process from scratch. Don't know if it will fix yours but worked for me. -Head to Settings on your Apple Watch -Tap General -Swipe down to the bottom and tap Reset -Tap Erase All Content and Settings -If you’re using a pasby archipirata - Tips and Deals

I've had a 12.9 for about a year and a half. I had an iPad air 2 before and and I don't find it significantly different in terms of dealing with the larger form factor. If you are used to having a tablet already it's a minor adjustment. And the screen real estate increase for doing any kind of visual arts work is well worth dealing with the larger size IMHO.by archipirata - Tips and Deals

Just got our new phones today. I upgraded from a first gen SE to an XS. My wife upgraded from an 8 plus to an 11. Got them through AT&T. The XS will add $5 a month to our bill for 30 months ($150 total). The 11 will add $10 a month for 30 months ($300 total). Activation fees waived as a benefit my university's AT&T signature benefit. It is nearly impossible to type the word "existing" unless I stop and consciously and slowly peck each letter out. In the normal flow of typing, I type it as "exisitng" EVERY - SINGLE - TIME. I have tried to retrain my brain even typing it over and over again, but nope. It's the only word this happens on and it has been this way for years. How bad is Apple ID 2FA? - 6 months ago
I have avoided adding 2 factor identification to my Apple ID but now I no longer have a choice. Apple is making some of their services (iTunes connect and others) only work if you have 2FA enabled. And since I use those I'll have to make the leap. I understand the need for security but it's a nightmare of constant logins and codes on all the systems at my University so I am hoping Apple's imby archipirata - Tips and Deals
