Honest question - is it simply hydraulic failures or are there bigger issues? One option would be a simple overhaul of the full hydraulic system and be good for another 10’years.

Update to: With all ballots received as of sometime yesterday processed (including all in-person day of), the absolute number gap still increased though it tightened slightly on a percentage basis. Stick a fork in it, it's done. Recall YES 4,239 40.04% Recall NO 6,348 59.96% Total Votes 10,587 24.96% Turnout

A ‘normal’ election cycle will see about 12,500 votes - I’m guessing down 5-10% due to the special election nature of it.

Good initial count results, but still more ballots to be counted. No recall: 5,702 ballots | 61.18% Yes recall: 3,618 ballots | 38.82% I expect it will tighten up a bit but would seem to be a hard hole for them to dig out of. Yes, the MAGAites have metastasized into ‘Save Anchorage’ and various affiliated private groups on FB.

Lost my grandmother in similar fashion over a slightly longer timetable almost 30 years ago. Very glad to read she had her AD and other medical docs in order to save the consternation. My sincere condolences.
