There are a slew of good seed and plant companies to be found on the web. Almost all have extensive online catalogs of both. You can also order their seeds, plants, print catalogs online. After a rainstorm that covers the entire LA basin, it's not at all unusual to see the mountains up north nowadays. In fact, when I lived in Torrance, after one of those periods of rain, I could easily see the Hollywood sign (and the mountains) when driving north on the overpass on Prairie Avenue which skirts the Mobil refinery. The facts that makes me a GW skeptic boils down to one set of numbers: the "normal" levels of CO2 dating back to the late nineteenth century and the current levels. 200 ppm vs. ~390 ppm. Translating those into percentages of CO2 in the atmosphere gives us twenty thousandths (20/1000!) of ONE percent vs. thirty-nine thousandths (39/1000!) of ONE percent. In a heartbeat! They intrigue me I must admit. In fact, I asked that same question a while back at the "other place" and got much the same response then. I sat in one of these cars at the L.A. Auto show last year and it's VERY roomy. It's big enough for two people and a week's worth of groceries or tennis rackets in the back.
