Thanks for that insight AllGold… I hadn’t thought of that detail yet, but it made sense as I read your note and thought about it.by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
I bought a Canon Rebel T3i years ago when it came out. Now that I have some extra time on my hands, been trying to figure out how to use it along with my GoPro cameras. I think I understand the following information correctly, please correct me where I am wrong. I know there are other lens mount types for different models, mainly talking here about the EF and EF-S since both will fit on my cby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
My experience: Shingles #1 (2020, early DEC) No effects (had flu shot same day as this) Shingles #2 (2021, late FEB) Slight mild fever about 24 hours after receiving it, lasted about 4 hours and that was it. The fever was never high enough to take anything for it or rest. Like a light switch turning off, disappeared when it was done. (I have had no reactions either to any of the Pfby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
I felt it too here in Anaheim, very mild but it sent me to QuakeFeed app to see if there was a quake somewhere. Malibu 4.2 at 2:00am.by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
Have my Apple Watch, iPhone 13, and iPad Air 5th Gen all working on those updates as I type here. Thanks Newton! iOS 12.5.7 and macOS 12.6.3 for older hardware out there as well... Not sure if these were released today, but noticed them today... my iPad Air 1st Gen had an update to iOS 12.5.7 my 2014 Mac mini and 2017 MacBook Air had an update to macOS 12.6.3 and Safari 16.3by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
I had my 5th Pfizer (which was bivalent) in SEPT-2022, that was 4 months ago now. Fortunately, I had no reactions to any of the five Pfizer shots. Have not checked yet to see what is on the radar next for continuing. Knock on wood, COVID-19 has not hit me that I am aware of... (Unfortunately, lost two people that I know, plus I know others that have experienced losses as well. Some others haby SKYLANE - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
sekker and Microman You have me excited for the possibility that maybe I can get Monterey running on this 2011 MacBook Pro 8,2 - 2.4GHz Quad Core i7, 16GB RAM with SSD already installed in it! (The failed AMD dedicated GPU is disabled from my MBP, you may have seen my posts when I did that. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB remains). I have the non-glare 15.4-inch (1680 x 1050)by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
Quotesekker QuoteN-OS X-tasy! Do you have a specific reason for installing Catalina on this Mac? I stopped at High Sierra on my Early 2011 MBP because: - it is the latest version the hardware officially supports. - it retains the ability to use 32-bip apps on the hardware. For my use of that older iMac where High Sierra was the last supported OS, security updates are more than sufficientby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
After using DosDude1 patcher 1.4.7, I easily got 10.15.7 loaded on my MacBook Pro... CatalinaOTAswufix.app <-- With the help of this app, I was able to successfully get the 2022-005 Security Update patcher on my computer which got me to the latest build of 19H2026. Needed some help fiddling with that app which I got from reddit. I am pretty happy with this 10.15.7 19H2026. I now havby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
N-OS X-tasy! and gabester When I use CatalinaOTAswufix.app to try and load an update, it does show me the last 2022-005 update to install. Great, at least I can do it all in one update. However, trying to get CatalinaOTAswufix.app to work is a challenge. Will keep tinkering around with it, I'll figure it out sooner or later! Thanks for your inputs... I have a Late 2011 MacBook Pro (8,2) with Catalina on it using DosDude1 patcher 1.4.7 . I have been using 10.15.6 on the computer for quite sometime since I had issues getting WiFi to work on 10.15.7. I now have that WiFi issue resolved (with workaround), and loaded 10.15.7 with the latest macOS Catalina installer from App Store which landed me on build 19H15. Since I now have a patched vby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
iPad Air Gen 5, Blue, 256GB, Wi-Fi $100 off at Best Buy last week, plus I had a $250 gift card. So, I took advantage of getting a new iPad for Christmas. I am enjoying the performance improvement! The "Radio Shack" skit at the end of SNL last night was a nice goodbye for Cecily Strong... if you missed it, recommend going back to see it.by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
I like Neil deGrasse Tyson... I enjoyed the Cosmos series from both Sagan and him. He has a good story about his interactions with Sagan in his earlier years:by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
Buzz Will keep the house/dog sitting in mind! We have a cute little Shiba Inu, he can be a handful sometimes but he is a lot of fun. Thanks for the Hawaii pictures! Not been there myself since JAN 2020, usually go once a year. Mostly to Oahu since we have time share there. But trading a week this year for the Big Island to see more of it and converse with Real Estate agent. I haveby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
That is a 2011 MBP you are having issue with? If yes, maybe you are experiencing the known issue with the dedicated AMD GPU? If you are, there is a way to disable the dedicated GPU and then continue running it off the integrated GPU. I have posts here on the forum on how I did that. Although my 2011 MacBook Pro is not my primary computer, it still runs well to this day. I loveby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
After performing steps (5) thru (6), all seem to have the same behavior as described here: After successful downloading of content from iCloud after signing back in: Making entries/deletions within NOTES app on my devices are not pushing up to iCloud. This behavior is consistent from what I have seen on the MacMini and the MacBook Air... This problem (described above in blue) seems to beby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
Status so far... I only went to STEP 4 so far: Data downloaded all the content to CALENDARS, CONTACTS, NOTES.... seemed complete Seems like Calendars and Contacts are working OK, sometimes slight delays when making entries/deletions on either the iPhone or the Safari iCloud for being reflected on other device. However, when I make entries/deletions in Safari iCloud, they push to theby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
Interesting... I brought my MacMini 2014 back online with the same iCloud ID... same behavior described above with 2017 MacBook Air exists with this machine... (both are on 12.6.1) I am starting to google to see if this is a problem for some people, with perhaps a recent update (?)... not saying is related outside my machines, but checking before I start big computer changes (like re-insby SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
Quotegadje I mean make a new user account on that Mac and use the same iCloud account. Just as a test to see if it works or not. That makes sense to me now. If the issue still persists with the "new user" account, that would point to corrupted app(s) that are shared across the user accounts. I am guessing that is what you are suggesting...by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
gadje - I would have to think about how I would go about "testing on a new user" account. I also had this iCloud associated with my 2014 MacMini (latest Monterey). All seemed to be working fine there before I logged out of my iCloud. Will log back in to iCloud later to for the MacMini to see how it is performs. gadje - sorry about the not spelling your name correctly, I try my best not to make those kinds of errors. (corrected above) Answer to your question, I do not know what gadje means. So, not spelling your name correctly sounds like a good opportunity to learn something new. So, I looked it up, and found a few things - which may or may not be correct. gadje: browser was seeing iPhone clay: Logged out of all devices, and verified all were on same iCloud account (as they have been for eons) This afternoon: Logged back into the following reference items that I am testing: Logged back into iPhone 13 (16.1.2) Logged back into MacBook Air 2017 (12.6.1) Logged back into Safari Browser 16.1 - used to view iCloud RESUTS so far:by SKYLANE - Tips and Deals
MacBook Air 2017, Monterey 12.6.1 iPhone 13 iOS 16.1.2 Safari Browser 16.1 on MacBook Air above... - I hardly ever use the browser to access my iCloud content, just using it for trouble shooting.
