I live near a town that processes chickens. There are regularly escapees. I wonder how many land on a local table.
Don't know if it's Tyson, Perdue, or some other.

We have a national plan, so no roaming charges. Their regional plans give you lots of minutes (i.e. 3000 anytime for $50); national plan is 1000 min (free nights/weekends) for $50 or 1000 anytime for $40. Check out your region and ask how much you travel .

NASA used to have a room for teachers at the Kennedy Space Center. Show an id, walk in and walk out with beaucoup stuff.
I presume it was for political purposes--kids come home saying how cool space is and mom and dad will support that rather expensive program. Don't know if it's still open, but it was very cool.

I think this is a nice idea--put in the person's name/address and send it off.
If it's for business, deduct the before-rebate amount of the item. If there's an audit and somehow you get snagged, then pay the $15 to our Uncle Sammy and feel good about helping someone!

A bit OT, but this is why I'm in favor of the laws that allow us to shut down our credit files.
GA has a proposal in committee. I'm notifying my local legislator that it's a critical issue for me.
I dealt with a rather minor identity theft years ago (cell phone opened up 1500 miles from where I live--it was easy to dispute); I'd hate to deal with a major one.

Ok, this may challenge this Mac group...
I understand that gold nanoparticles are different colors depending on the size of the nanoparticle. I'm trying to understand why this occurs in terms I can understand. I've run across terms such as, "surface plasmon oscillation," etc.--these make my eyes glaze over.
Anybody have an easy-to-understand explanation?
Thanks.

What's the deal with curling?
I like it also, yet it's just, well, sliding a hunk of rock down the ice. It seems like the ice analogy of shuffleboard, yet I don't like that. I watched curling for hours and never got tired of it.
The other good thing--short track skating. Wow!

We insured through AMEX with the doubled warranty and then we're going to self insure. AC is really a couple hundred bucks for 1 year, after the doubled AMEX warranty, and by then the $800 iBook is 2 years old. We're taking the chance.
