Very true, Ted.
I guess one of my points is that this “heartbeat” marker is, like many things in the pro-life movement, an over-simplification chosen for emotional appeal.
Doesn’t this undermine the whole life begins at conception argument, anyway?
Another topic, but one has to ask: Are sperm and eggs dead? I would say clearly not. You can wat

This leaves a very VERY wide open door for lawsuits. An Uber driver drives a young woman to a clinic that performs a wide range of family planning and prenatal care and abortions. Since they perform abortions, a Texas judge might conclude that the driver should have known that there was a likelihood that the woman would have an abortion.
I'm expecting to see an

deckeda,
So amazing that you are going through all this for the poor pup. Best of luck to all of you.
People that abandon animals are horrible people.
Deckeda is a good human. Good luck to all of you, Beara especially. I’m wondering, however, if there is a surgical intervention that she needs. That would be a worthy cause indeed.
FWIW, most of my “pets” over the last 4

But it's not what you think. Hell, it's not even for a male dog.

I got something similar about a year or so ago. I informed my employer about it, and I never heard anything more about it; if it IS unemployment fraud they can (and will) deny it. If anything else needs done either they or the Department of Labor in that state will let you know. You could also write or call them to tell them you have never lived or worked in the state. They will take it from ther

That is criminal. Since when does a DNR mean don't treat a (living) patient?
yes, i though DNR meant don't use heroic measures?
DNR means do not resuscitate. Meaning if the person dies we let them stay dead and do not code them. Further complicating things there are various levels. Like some people will only allow compressions, or chemical codes ( resu

If I were the administrator of a hospital in Texas, I would sue this idiot for (at least) slander for telling the public that patients die from “hospital protocol policy” and not the disease they have. Now you have people just not trusting health care at all and suffer needlessly and die at home.

For Oklahoma, you must be 18 years of age to marry without parental consent. Those between 18 and 16 require written parental consent. If he or she is under 16 and pregnant or has a child, it requires a court order, parental consent, or the consent of the legal guardian. Oklahoma legal age

I gave my mom a Watch once fall detection became a thing. I have one too. I can tell you, it does indeed call 911, and then the person listed as the emergency contact—in that order. Mom was in a skilled nursing facility this past January. She took a tumble trying to get out of bed late one night. She may not remember much of that stay, but she does remember the firemen who showed up.

Is there anything else wrong with the keyboard? Any other reason to replace it? These might be of use to you then: Keyshorts. Granted, I have only looked at them for my 2015 MBP (Hong Kong keyboard) so I’m not sure if it works for you or not. Cheaper than a new keyboard, and a lot of choices in the style.
If what you see isn’t appropriate then, of course, look deeper.

Blurry vision can be corrected only if the image being viewed can be focused on the appropriate spot on the back of the eye. Cataracts are a fogging of the natural lens of the eye; in essence, they reduce the amount of light passing into the eye. There comes a point where glasses will not help, as they don’t magnify the light. Even if they did, the light would be refracted by the cataract and y

As a kid, I remember when my family moved out to Utah, Dad found probably the only skunk for miles and wound up straddling it, pulling the camper. The rest of us, in the car with Mom driving, drove into the cloud shortly afterwards. We found out why the camper jerked suddenly and then straightened out. The skunk Wes unhurt, to the best of my knowledge. The camper, however, retained that smell for

Not tendon repair, but patellofemoral replacement, where the knee cap (patella) is misaligned or otherwise needing repair as it doesn’t align or function as needed. A bit invasive, you could say, but not as bad as a full knee replacement. That was a possibility when the surgeon did my knee. Six to eight weeks recovery before returning to work. DeathSantis just issued an executive order forbidding mask requirements in schools.
Kids can't vote and teachers are liberals, so who cares about either group.
A week ago, Stitt (R, OK) did the no-mask thing also. A look on the oklahoma.gov website today (regarding Covid) says that they follow the CDC Guidelines. Where’s the popcorn?

I could be wrong (Sarcany will tell us, I’m sure) but I think the Autosave function creates temporary files that get deleted when the file is saved. I’m unsure how it functions with a “save as”. I always thought to use the “save as” file as the changed one, thereby leaving the one I’m working on as essentially unchanged until I saved it (with changes). No changes, then I normally ju

I use that iPad for drawing/sketching/“painting”. So yes, I will be not happy if the color profile, depth, and/or accuracy changes. When I put in the repair at the Apple website it brings up these other locations; I thought I would check to see what others said, and their reasoning if given. I think the Apple store for repair is the way to go.

If you are wanting to use it in the sauce, like Freeradical and Ombligo said:

This just begs for groups of “concerned citizens” to hang around known abortion clinics getting license tags of individuals stopping and going inside. If I still lived in Texas, and my friend asked me to take her, I still wouldn’t hesitate AS IT ISN’T MY DECISION as to how she lives her life, only to help a fellow human in need. This just begs to be taken to the Supremes.
