This site recommends the Olympus TG-5 (now TG-6): The problem I have with a lot of the other recommendations is that they are mostly DSLR's which need lenses, but there are no lens recommendations. One option would be to get a used or inexpensive DSLR like the Canon T-series and add a 55-200 lens or so. This won't give you macro, but will give close ups that may be good enough. Look at

Have you looked at the “Flexilla” line of hoses? The ones I have start flexible and have stayed flexible. A GOOD hose is an investment that will give years of reliable service. A “bargain” hose may not last one season.
