RIP to a legend. A great life as part of a wonderful part of 20th Century musical history...by DP - Tips and Deals
Was at an event last Thursday where the videographer was using a Sony a6100 but had a Canon lens adapter. Said he saw no reason to replace his "excellent Canon lenses" and was much cheaper getting the adapter. Likes the mirrorless camera and must be on the forum as he felt he had to go Sony for cameras!by DP - Tips and Deals
I find it interesting that the pandemic has "ended" early in a year that has an important event this coming November while other parts of the world are still shutting down and otherwise dealing with it...by DP - Tips and Deals

Don't know if this a good deal but it's on slickdeals this morning. Sorry if it's posted already but I didn't see anything. OK, tried to post from a copy-and-paste but the forum isn't letting me due to some "database error" so here's just the link.by DP - Tips and Deals

BTW, I don't recall any forumites from South of the Equator. Nevertheless, how many here have seen, for example, the Southern Cross or the Small- and Large Magellanic Clouds, with your own eyes?by DP - Tips and Deals
Buuut, if so, how does its light reach us at all, if the distance between us increases faster than light can travel? Dark Energy. Although-if someone can answer this-if all galaxies are flying away from each other, how is it that we're going to merge (or collide) with Andromeda in 5 billion years? Which kinda sucks. This! Even tho I imagine that somehow we can learn to travel beyond thby DP - Tips and Deals
It's amazing from the standpoint that Earendel probably has "burned out" a long, long, long time ago. It would be cool if we could see the sky as it is right now rather than how it looks 100, 5,000, a billion years ago. I've been keeping up with Betelgeuse, the HUGE red giant in Orion. How big is it? It's so big that if were where our Sun is, B's outer surface would be at Jupiter. Mby DP - Tips and Deals

QuoteArticle Accelerator QuoteDPAperture was based on Lightroom. LOL—good one, DP! (Pssst…Aperture was released November 30, 2005; Lightroom was released February 19, 2007.) Well, I was always using Adobe stuff and never used Aperture, so I didn't know. Even more reason to go with Lightroom, then!by DP - Tips and Deals
I was just thinking about you the other day! I have been using my Mini 9 (MacArtist set it up for me) as a digital wallet but that now is going by the wayside. Newer camera images won't upload to it even tho all I'm trying to do is store them on it until I can get them to my work computer. It still works just fine, tho! My wife's company went out of business mostly because the clients theyby DP - Tips and Deals

This is one vid. Man, don't clip the trees! There's another video where they jump into the plane. Good fun! If I were 100 years younger... And the video itself is quite a production.by DP - Tips and Deals
Well, if you can't use it anymore, then move on, I'd say. AFAIK, Aperture was based on Lightroom and you can get a subscription for $99 per year-you get Lightroom, Photoshop, and Camera Raw (as a standalone app) for that price. Yeah, it's annoying, but you'd be comfortable with it and that's just the way things are going. Subscriptions.by DP - Tips and Deals

Interesting article about the Oscars in Los Angeles Magazine. I hope it's content doesn't get this bumped to the Other Side. It's a pretty tough take on what's happened to the Academy Awards and it merely describes changes to the Oscars...by DP - Tips and Deals
