There should be absolutely NO problem as long as you submitted the entire original Hitachi white label from the static bag your drive shipped in. All you need is a that label, the form, and a copy of the receipt - we've sold thousands of Hitachi drives with the rebate program and have had very few issues - barely any since the program is now in it's 4th round of rebates. 30" all the way. Old desk - 20" Widescreen Dell, 24" Dell, MacBook Pro 17". New desk 30" Apple Cinema, 17" MacBook Pro Took some getting used to but the 30 is just phenomenal. I do still need the 2nd monitor but not near as much as I did with the 24". The 20" I have hooked up to 2 other machines but now I just remote into them and go headless.

Traditional is ground down. However, there is no right or wrong way to install it - sometimes upside down is better for the way a cord will hang, specifically flush fitting plugs, like a microwave would have on them - then upside down, so the cord will fit flush to the wall, is proper. And make sure you get that screw head straight up and down or left to right, otherwise nothing will work and

The latest drives are so quiet you really do have to put your ear to them to hear them. Ambient radiated noise is absolutely negligible.

The new Bosch units are very nice, and exceptionally quiet. I have a 4 year old Maytag I've considered upgrading just to get the silence. Sister in law/Brother in law just built a new house and seriously I could not tell the unit was running at first, it's a mid to high end Bosch, all stainless, very good looking inside and out.

Yes, it can. Does not have to be a doorbell transformer. Any low voltage transformer could do it - but I'd look for one screwed into a floor joist.

Awesome printer, basically the last LaserWriter Apple made and it was HUGE. Only 11x17 printer Apple made. I sold a couple back in the day, and know that both are still in use. But so is my 12/640, and my parents 16/600 - they never seem to die. It's not the fastest printer out there but it's probably the fastest APPLE printer out there. Of course, any current HP will run rings around it..

My bet is on a doorbell transformer. They have a coil inside and I've seen it where they resonate and the harmonic noise travels along the floor or wall joist it's screwed into. Unless you have an intercom or battery powered one, nearly every house has a doorbell. I do wholeheartedly agree though with the above suggestions. Sit in the (almost) silent room and ask somebody to turn off breakers

If the 2GB module does not work in either slot by itself, it's likely defective. Do make sure you have it all the way in - they take a ton of force sometimes to get into the slot all the way.

Look at the nylon screw in glides. I had a nail work it's way out and gouge my oak floor in my dining room. Screws seem like a much better idea because of that.

Contact them. I've gotten one replacement already - but realize you'll end up with a Tactile Pro 2.0. I wore out the enter key on the keypad, and the letters off of half a dozen keys as well.

Yep look for a connector with a white top. The ribbon slides into that; all you need to do is lift that white top up - it's got locks on the sides to keep you from removing it and then slide the ribbon cable down - there will be a white line on the ribbon showing how far it is to go into the connector, and then press the lock back down, pinching the cable tight to the connector.
