Ink for the RX-700 is dirt cheap (generic ink) - and gets fantastic coverage for a cart. I've done probably 300 discs now, and only replaced 3 or 4 carts - at about $6 a cartridge.

That's also a problem - media price. What are you paying for lightscribe CD and DVD media? I pay like 20 cents a disc for printable DVD media (Ritek or Taiyo Yuden), full surface printable when buying in 100 lots. And - as I've said before - The Epson RX700 inkjet printer is INCREDIBLE. Just amazing quality on discs - I LOVE IT. Best inkjet I've ever bought. Not at all like any of the previous

The tray load drives would work; but there would not be enough room for another 3.5" drive without it being a really tall "stack". I'm all for small form factor stuff. But I'm also thinking usability for the majority of people. Here's a question. How many people REALLY use LightScribe drives/discs? Thanks!

Hi, It's all about space constraints. And in that form factor, there just isn't much room to do cool things. • Slot loading lightscribe- not made. • Front mounted port - no room with a drive in there. Boy this just sums up how bad the offense was tonight. The Bears tonight are the first team EVER in football to come back from being down 20 points in a game and win without scoring an offensive touchdown. Glad we have a Bye week to get some heads screwed on straight.

Unplug. Isopropyl Alcohol, work it into the ball, around, etc. Canned air, dry it (or let stand for a bit to evaporate).

But if you have a MDD system, or a new Mac Pro, this will let you easily select which drive you want to open.

Won't fit, the MacBook and MacBook Pro use superslim slot loaders. No upgrades at this time either for that machine. :>( The one you have is physically too thick to fit.

Hmmm. The open firmware reset is not normally necessary of course - it could now go either way - bad memory, bad slot. Did you run hardware test yet?

Boot into open firmware (command-option-O-F at startup) Type: reset-nvram (press return) set-defaults (press return) reset-all (press return, machine reboots) See if that does anything. The slot could have gone bad, or the memory has failed. Apple Hardware Test would at least show if the slot is recognized. If you had anything other than an iMac, I'd tell you to try to run memory in

Mine is still running perfectly, with a Sonnet upgrade card in it, 20GB HD, 128MB RAM, 10/100 ethernet card.... They do sound better than a lot of home systems that's for sure, and it's TV tuner works GREAT! I don't plan on parting with mine - ever. Hope whoever bought it for that price plans on doing the same - keeping a beautiful piece of history.

Dunno where you'll find one - but what you're looking for is a "Hall Tree" - one designed to fit in an entryway or entrance hallway. I've got one like you describe, and it's great not taking up the entire corner of a room. AND, it stores in a closet, fully assembled and lit One less holiday headache to deal with.
