The MDD is in for noise level reference. Benchmarks atby OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
In my experience, the Gigas run HOT. If you look at that above eBay auction, take a peek at the picture. The front left is a copper bar - it's about 1/16th of an inch thick, and runs from the hottest parts of the processor card and fins out away from the side of the card, to cool those components. In all seriousness, I burned my finger real good on one of those when we were trying them out abby OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Hi- The Newer Technology MAXPOwer G4 most certainly is NOT the same as the Giga pictured. Well, they did a tribute to Aaron Spelling last night. :>) I think it's about time that 24 was recognized for the great show it is - although I think that the awards should have been for a previous season.by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
I think it's demand. I have always wanted a good one as well - but since most good cameras do a decent job, and only pros (and semi pros) really NEED one.... not a lot are sold therefore prices stay high. Pr0n will hopefully comment and tell us where to buy a super-duper-whiz-bang model for way less than we had ever dreamed, and we'll both then run out and buy it. ;>)by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
If you own Toast, Deja Vu is included free - and works excellent for nightly backups. CCC still works PERFECT.by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Look at it this way - it's disconnected the leads from the logic board, not the other way around (disconnecting the leads from the plug). I applaud you if you can reattach the traces on the logic board. I wish you THE BEST of luck. However, I know I'd not even waste my time attempting it. I am handy with a soldering iron; but I also know how to calculate ROI; and my time is not well spent workby OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals

I watched a Contour blow it's trans all over the track ay Byron, IL dragstrip about 9 years ago. Stopped the races for about a half hour while they cleaned up the mess - idiot didn't come to a stop, he coasted, oiling the track for 200'. And yes, the Mercury Mistake is a common nickname for them. :>)by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Hi- I think the first question should be - what hard drive are you installing into the case? The suggestions for the aluminum construction drives we sell is excellent, they offer passive cooling and do not need a fan at all. The miniStack drive is great if you want a small footprint, and a fan, but if a hot mini is on top of it, the fan does run more often than if it were a freestanding drby OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
You did reset your cable modem, right?by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
I bet you got a speed bump or they did a hardware upgrade. That's the only times they have changed mine. If you were at 4MBit, you're probably now at 6. Nationwide they are doing that "free" upgrade to compete with local DSL telcos. Give it a shot. You may be happy!by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
I think they are in for a long LONG day of CS calls. I received my email confirmation: Merchandise Freight Total ----------- ------- ----- $19.95 6.95 $26.90 Item Qty Price Status ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- EP4479by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Square corners on the Seagate drives, vs. rounded ones on all others. It's millimeters, really. But enough....by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
The original V1 will not accommodate any Seagate made in the last 2 years. REALLY old Barracuda drives will fit - but the modern ones will not. The V2 eliminated that problem. :>)by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Yup, it's attached with a square of velcro. Simple to replace, unclip the back (fat or thin back), and it's plainly visible, attaches to the logic board with simple slide on pins. It's a 4.5v battery.by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Maddux pitched a very fine game gave up what, 1 run, 4 hits, 1 walk? Dempster let us down - first blown save / loss in like 26 games. Cubs need some serious offense. This stretch SUCKS.by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Since it's a couple years old, it can be difficult. Some have a small rount brass lined hole through the board, near the center. You can bend a paperclip (or if you have a hook, like for automotive work), pull using that hole. Or, you can also try and put your little pinky finger inside, around the edge of a firewire port, and gently pull. The rails on the sides are rubber and very grippy; onceby OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Hi- Pull all the PCI cards, try them one at a time. I'm betting the SCSI card is it. One of them is the culprit....by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Bradsdad: The current model processors we are selling DO turn all fans off when the machine goes to sleep. Deep sleep, that is; regular sleep (if you have just the monitor turning off) won't shut any of the internal fans off. Try this; manually tell the machine to sleep. Do all of the fans turn off, the drives spin down, etc.? If not, then you have a PCI card installed that does not supportby OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
FanTASTIC episode!! It's a Robocop reunion! 3 actors and counting! :>)by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Love the quality of the SD500 I bought my wife for xmas - they are VERY fussy and easy to break though. Awesome for portability though!by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
Hi- We have to cut the tab off as it hits some capacitors in some systems. And we remove the traces, no tape allowed - it can come off and get stuck in the AGP slot. Not fun to remove.by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
No, don't pull the inside. That's a good way to ruin the drive. Only thing I can think of is to take the drive OUT of the Cube, and take the top cover off.by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
I also prefer the original. That's one powerful movie. Anyone ever read the book sequel to it where Deckard's character is accused of murder, because Pris was a human (supposedly), not a Replicant?by OWC Jamie - Tips and Deals
