Titanium frames flex, stretch, break, and warp. One of the reasons Apple moved away from it. That's what we've found fixes it. Surprisingly, yes, the original Apple batteries work still but the new mold (created from original Apple batteries, mind you) does seem to be more sensitive to the flexing problem.

Probably a bad hard drive. Put your ear to it and see if you can hear the drive spin up. Then listen for telltale "click click click" noises, like it's stuck in the same spot. Happens far too often now that they are getting older.

Actually you need a SATA 2.5" drive in the MacBook Pro or Intel mini.

Every G5 system we sell is put through some serious testing, including an extended stretch of folding once it passes the first round of tests. You're guaranteed a system that's solid this way. :>)

Sounds like you do have too long a screw somewhere, shorting out a component. Or, there could be an overtorqued screw that fractured a component. Take it apart again, and put it all back together carefully. What manual are you using for the disassembly?

Sounds like something is not plugged in. I assume you didn't rip any cables, and all are still fully attached? Do you hear or feel the hard drive turn on when pressing a button on the iPod? You certain that the audio cable is still attached, since that controls the hold function (if it's stuck on hold, can't turn on). It's IMHO a FANTASTIC update! Besides adding Spotlight search to my emails, it allows you to move your Microsoft User Data folder anywhere you want - including on remote volumes. :>) Oh, and synching with iCal and Address Book - what more could we ask for (yes, yes, I know, it's not Intel native....) Good info on this site if you ever need Entourage help;

Sounds familiar. We are about 5 minutes from the end right now. Excellent movie, even though it's a bit dark. Not as good as the book (they never are!) but fantastic SFX. :>)

Third the motion, DVP-642 all the way. Had to fix a blown capacitor on it after 6 months, but that was a 10 minute fix - all well still. Amazon, Walmart, wherever is cheapest - had to look for a few days to get mine. Well worth it.

Everyday carry knife; Spyderco (note the spelling guys). I've had them since 1986, and they are about the most durable out there - bar none. Benchmade is close, but basically an imitation. Swiss Army are fine as well but not for a single blade knife. They are gadgets I feel- but perfect for a gentleman's knife, something I will never be accused of being. Not enough power? Give me a break - mine's got MORE than enough. One set of tires in one season = perfect balance between power and traction. :>) I'm very lucky to have snapped up mine for $23K out the door 15 months ago.

Right-right-right! :>) Processors are soldered on with the laptops; and considering Apple charges more for the RAM in the laotops than they do in the iMacs (check it out yourself!)

HD is very likely shot. Seeing a lot of them as of late, 3G and 4G's, especially 20GBs.

144 before running out of road in my GTO, it's limited at 155 (uncorked, supposedly 181). Is stable up to about 135 with summer tires, 110 with the winter tires is all I want to try....

LOL! Taller- I did truly LOL. I'm 6'4" - much taller and I'd hit my head everywhere. :>) And the typos were not, and are not, in our PR. It was a fun challenge. That's a sweet player at twice the price; put all your DivX files on one DVD, it makes it's own navigation and plays them - simple as that. Love mine, bought at $59 a year ago nearly!

Actually a better deal is to buy from buy.com, with free shipping! Got 2 - one for home, one for work. I have the 8 port version at home already (but need one for the entertainment center!). Darn good deal. The 8 port cost me nearly $80 and I dearly love it. 30+ MB between my PB and my G5 - can't ask for more than that! ;>)
