have you tried deleting that file? Or at least tried using one of the preference file "fixers" out there? It could be that plist file is corrupt.

RBrowser. I've never used the built-in FTP in the terminal, but I use "Command Prompt" (i.e. DOS) on my Winblows PC at work to do FTP all the time. It really isn't that hard.

I could've picked up about 6 of them for less than $50 (for all 6) last month at an auction. But my wife would've killed me. There's a monthly auction here where they get surplus from schools and local gov'ts and they've always got a bunch of iMacs. Used mac stuff goes really cheap there.

it happens in Tiger too. I've developed the really bad habit of putting a bunch of stuff on the desktop. I downloaded a bunch of songs from eMusic about a month ago... I didn't use their "custom" software. If you tell it not to use it, it will just download the songs to your desktop (and strangely enough, it'll also send a copy to iTunes, so effectively it puts two copies on your com

personally, I'd cut a larger area, and install a removable steel plate (with appropriate cutouts) over the whole faucet area. Looks better, and allows for easy access if you need to later.
