I’m probably at 5% right now. But that was just from some money I inherited from my dad. About 90% are in index funds through my retirement plan, and another 5% or so in I-bonds and T-bills.

Wife wants to get a Generac whole-house generator. I think it's pointless because in 30 years living here, we've only lost power for a total of about 10 days over 5 hurricanes. Our portable generator is sufficient.

MacHeist has it for $30 also, but it expires at midnight tonight. For that price, it's a no-brainer. I think I jumped on when it was $35 sometime last year. Also got it for my wife's Mac and son's PC.

We did Roswell and Carlsbad Caverns this summer. I didn't really research Roswell very much and wasn't expecting it to be a decent sized city. The most fun thing we did there was the Lego attraction. I thought we'd spend maybe 30 minutes there... ended up almost 3 hours. Carlsbad Caverns was amazing. 105 degrees at the top, 56 degrees underground. Incredible stalagmites and stalagtites.

Went from cable (300 Mbps). Monthly charge (with mandatory “tech assure” fee) will be just over $82. Spectrum just raised their rate, so cable would be $85 a month. So it was kind of a no brainer.
