they are the video engineers and I won't bother listing their long list of creds that you may have even watched last night. They are at the top of their craft. I don't believe that I said we use HDMI in any production environment.

I work in television. The video folks tell me the $1.15 cable at Amazon is every bit as good as the $150 bs cable from whomever. Reason? It's digital. I think any machine will last 20 years, but most will require a good number of replacement parts over that time. I had my P&Ms Kenmore washer dryer combo from '63 until about 5 years ago in my old house. I replaced the dryer motor twice and door switches a few times. I don't think appliance makers are making 'em like that anymore.

I've done a few shows with Fergie. She can sing, though not consistently. The CD is poop, but so is most of what sells big. I hope the Hummer goes for big $ since it apparently will go to a green charity and will be one less gas guzzling pos of the road. The other party mentioned cannot sing, again like so much of what sells big.

I gather that if one wanted to load a DVD movie, I'd convert with Mplayer or the like and load from iTunes? Is there a contact manager that would work and sync to Address Book?

15" 1GHz with 9.2.2 orig installed. but I've misplaced that disc and the ones I have for the 1.25 GHz 17" aren't allowing me to install OS 9.2.2 on a separate partition. thanks - posted to lem too.
