our Maytag pooped a few years back after 20 years. We also needed a new range. We bought a Maytag/Jenn-Air. Works well, built like $h1t. It'll be a while before I buy Maytag again. will updating my 5 year old Belkin 802b to a Linksys WRT54G get me anything to speak of? My wifes windoze is wireless as is my G4 pbook. But I seldom if ever transfer files between computers of any significant size. My security seems to be OK judging from the log.

I burn a CD. Now any new "home burned" CD I load in comes up with the same name (of the previous burn that I did), even though they're completely different. Other than tossing prefs, any ideas how to fix this "hold-over" effect?

FW ports are busy with ext drives. I can';t imagine you could have drives and IP going at the same time without some sort of comms mess, but I'll test at the office next week.

need to find a better way to share the occasional large file(s) on the job, under pressure, between a couple pbooks. Normally I'm rigged with 2 pbooks, an ext FW HD for each and a floating FW buss powered mini. The buss powered mini blows by todays standards; and having to mount and unmount. Stupit. with regard to VZW, rather then the whining.... most Moto's and LGs and others VZW offers will do "modem". a good place to research the phone choices available, out of the mother hens box, is With a data cable or bluetooth phone, you can connect for purposes of email. The $15 bit refers to adding the Vcast stuff to your acct and making email available on the sly, as it were.

trying to burn 40 cuts (aiff) w/iTunes. iTunes stalls after reading playlist. Does iTunes have a playlist length limit? They're all edited to 1:00. Tracks all play fine in iTunes. iTunes burns well otherwise. I burned them as plain vanilla disc and they play fine. wtf?

I used ink packaged by G&G and made in the US. I got it from for no particular reason, but the price was decent. So far so good. Also used the same stuff in a Brother MP type printer with good results. Been a couple weeks to a month.

I have a 2G dualie G5 w/1.5M ram. It takes about 1:10 for the start-up to complete, until the HD stops the "active" spinning, after entering password. How long does yours take?

I have an S1 that I think does pretty well indoors with flash. It tends to be a little over lit depending on the distance, but in focus.
