it's default open is Finder, but QTP, iPhoto don't recognize. Tried to change it to jpg. Nada. I'd like to save as something else to email, but some recipients are windows so dunno if it would translate with that dark platform.

for the freelancers here. Can anyone point to a official statement as to whether or not employers are allowed to keep on file, copies of drivers license, passport and/or SS card in compliance with I9 post 9/11? My understanding id that they are required ot check the docs, but are not allowed to copy them for file, for reasons of both ID theft and Homeland Security Act.

if you are in a low RF area, (IE: not Times Square) an AT or Sony should do the job. But the ones we use in TV in almost every situation are Sennheiser and/or Shure. You'll pay more, but you do get what you pay for.

I brought back some fresh habanero peps from Fla. Nice bright orange. I'm gonna make a batch of my intergalactically well known turkey chili. Usually, I put a couple of tiny Thai hots and a jalapeno or 2 in. It turns out mild to me and I'll usually spark it for myself and let others have their way with it. If I put one whole hab in, sans seeds, am I looking for trouble? Now I ain't worrie

yes it was drum storage. does "Fastran" ring a bell to anyone? The county data center that I worked in summers had a couple of these beasts. But none of these was it. The surface of the drum was visible thru a window. man, why am I wasting my time with this? Today was a 14 hour day. ah well.

I think one would be lucky these days, for any of the rather cheaply made Chinese consumer rvcrs to last that long. Yea, 25 years ago. My old HK505 is still running over 25 years later. Not that I'm advocating spending big $ for home fi. But, at say $600 for a "better" consumer surround rcvr, I'd be happy at 6 years, $100/year. Sad but true. YMMD, but I wouldn't expect $3000 r

we ended up with the UM150, aka Pantech. it does 300-700k/80-100k from home with lousy bars. My wife is happy with it though I'm not a fan of something sticking out the side of the USB port. It does come with a USB extenesion that might make it less likely to be carelessly nuked. Free after rebate.

here are some ideas there is also some spiral plastic stuff that does a reasonable job.
