Is it that hard to run a rate quote from each of the carrier's websites? Here's a hint: in the absence of a discount from the private carriers, USPS tends to be cheapest for small/light packages.

A buyer's job is not over at payment. The buyer's job also includes things like not reversing payment after receipt of the item without cause, working with the seller in case of damage in transit, etc. Until the transaction is completely over (which means seller paid AND buyer happy with item), FB should not be left by either party because it cannot tell the whole story about (dis)satisfaction

It's easy to do. As long as there are more than 12 hours remaining, you just cancel all bids and end the listing early. One reason ebayers will ask for this if they think the item will go for a high price (they hope you'll take sure money over a possibility of more).

Those preapprovals result in soft pulls, which do not affect your credit score. It's the same effect as if you pulled your own CR. Hard pulls, otoh, can result in small drops of your score. Applying for a new CC, for example, would probably result in a hard pull. Opting out of the prescreening won't really do anything for your score. It will drastically reduce the amount of junk mail you get.

You can't file the UID for 7 days after EOA. I accept mailed payments and PayPal, so generally don't file the UID until day 10. It's always a good idea to indicate a time frame for expected payment in the listing, whether that be 7, 10, or 14 days or whatever you prefer. If you accepted PayPal only, then on day 7 it would be appropriate to file the UID. Keep in mind that if you relist now,

Just set up a second account. It's a good idea anyway, as that way your selling rep cannot be jeopardized by problems encountered while buying. If you're worried about FB, use your existing account from here on as the selling ID, and set up a second for buying.

They started that a couple months ago as a test. Apparently the ebay powers decided it was successful enough that it would be extended. That new scheme is being used on everything on ebay for any item over $200 starting this week.
