I hope I didn't alarm you about PayPal, but since your motorcycle will probably sell for more than you want to risk losing, I figured it wouldn't hurt to remind you about the risk. PayPal can work for a deposit which minimizes your potential loss due to a reversal but also makes the buyer demonstrate some commitment to buying. Depending on how high you expect this item to sell for, and how muby TL - Tips and Deals
I really hope you aren't taking PayPal for this. If the bike is picked up in person, you have no online-viewable proof of delivery to satisfy PayPal in case of an INR dispute. If you use a freight carrier, same thing. No, a signed receipt from the buyer will not work.by TL - Tips and Deals
QuoteEffin HaoleIt will be interesting to see what happens, I have been "qualifying" my auctions like that for over 5 years now. No one has said or done anything yet. Nothing will happen until you're reported. Once you are, though... Oh, and you were fully allowed to have that limit until August of last year when the policy changed.by TL - Tips and Deals
Yes, PayPal lets you link to savings. At least, ING's saving. I'm not sure if that works as a primary account, however. Rumor is ING may be offering some sort of checking account as early as this summer. If you really want an online checking account, try USAA or Presidential. USAA, I believe, credits some ATM fees each month. I don't use either, but both are pretty highly regarded.by TL - Tips and Deals
QuoteEffin Haole You can add in the item description in CAPS that inspite of the logos and statement below, you DO NOT ACCEPT CC's. I do that now since I downgraded. That'll get your listings pulled and eventually your account suspended. Per the PayPal payments policy (link below) you are not allowed to accept some forms of PayPal while rejecting others.by TL - Tips and Deals
It's not so terrible if you keep in mind that for Idol people can (legally) vote more than once, and the pool of eligible voters is much larger. Still depressing, just not quite so much.by TL - Tips and Deals
How about making the option to hide online status actually work? Mine's set not to show online status, yet I'm still showing at the bottom of the page as online.by TL - Tips and Deals
QuotejimbradyTwice daily trips to the heart-shaped stall as a stud getting paid $10k a pop. Barbaro's stud fee would probably be at least 10 times that. For comparison, his sire Dynaformer fetches 100k per cover, and this year's most-heralded freshman sire Ghostzapper earns 200k per cover. A healthy Barbaro can cover potentially 70-120 mares in a season. It's easy to see why this horse iby TL - Tips and Deals
Be sure you understand the scoring system, it's an odd one. The first few questions in each section determine the later questions you get, and also determine the maximum score you can earn. if you blow the first few questions you will get easier ones later, but you also will not score as high as if you had aced the first few and missed an equal number of questions later. It is absolutely criticby TL - Tips and Deals
I took the GRE, oh, 5 years ago. It has changed since then, but study tactics shouldn't change wildly. I check out a few books from the library mostly for a refresher on math for the analytical section. What worked best for me was the "GRE For Dummies" title. If you go the book route, definitely check your local library. Used bookstores may work as well.by TL - Tips and Deals
Yeah, New Bolton does have a pool. They had Barbaro in there when he was waking up to minimize any thrashing damage. They do that for a lot of their equine surgical patients, apparently it's proved to be a great asset in post-surgery chances for survival because it helps reduce the chances of a Ruffian-like outcome. The Bloodhorse and others are reporting Barbaro walked into his stall fine aby TL - Tips and Deals
The blood supply issue turned out to be a nonissue - the vets say the blood circulation to the lower leg was fine. Reports are he came out of the anesthesia ok, so now it's a matter of preventing infection and hoping laminitis does not occur. The surgery Ruffian underwent was itself fine, but when she was coming out of anesthesia she struggled so much she did more damage to herself. At thaby TL - Tips and Deals
Yeah, some of the keys are placed in odd positions, but overall I'm fine with it. I'm so used to my small Pismo keyboard that the more expansive size of the SlimType feels more like a fullsize, so the weird placement of a few keys doesn't bother me at all. I asked if you had the Mac or PC version because apparently the PC version has a quick-key to the calculator. Just wondered how that worby TL - Tips and Deals
Yes, my SlimType does have 2 CTRL keys to the left of the alt/option and space bar keys. Both work as any control key would. No idea why there are 2, I'm guessing they can be programmed for some additional functionality. The play/pause, fwd, and rewind keys can control iTunes play. The box says 3.0 or higher is needed for that functionality. I suppose it could control Quicktime or other viby TL - Tips and Deals
I have the SlimType, and love it. It makes it so much easier to go switch from my desktop to my Pismo and back. Yeah, the lack of USB was annoying but it's a minor enough annoyance compared to the excellent feel of the keyboard.by TL - Tips and Deals
eBay has no rules on when payment must be made. You as the seller get to specify that in your listing. I generally make mine 10 days from EOA to allow plenty of time for mailed payments to arrive. It's pretty much useless (unless you use BIN: Immediate Payment Required) to require payment in less than 7 days as you can't file an Unpaid Item Dispute until the 7th day after EOA.by TL - Tips and Deals
Did you require a confirmed address in your TOS? if so, refund and point your buyer to that line in your TOS. Tell him that you'll ship anywhere he wants if he instead uses a USPS MO.by TL - Tips and Deals
Re: PayPal No, they can't reach into your bank account and yank funds. They can, however, freeze funds in your PayPal account while disputes are being settled. Also, if your account goes in the red due to reversals and you attempt to send funds to someone, they can and do piggyback the amount need to bring your account back to a positive balance. I have a Kensington SlimType that I adore. It feels like a laptop keyboard, which helps since I use my Pismo so often - I'm used to the feel of the key action already. It's quiet, and is a full-size keyboard. I think price was ~$35 at Compusa, I'm it can be found for less elsewhere. I second the recommendations of others to go and try out a few different keyboards. Make sure you like the kby TL - Tips and Deals

Did you look at Dell's website? : "Dell Catalog Sales LP currently collects applicable sales tax on orders delivered to every state except Colorado, District of Columbia, Indiana, Louisiana, New Mexico, South Dakota and Vermont. " Of course, states such as Oregon that do not have a sales tax also are not charged tax.by TL - Tips and Deals
Staples lets you send in files online for pickup in store. This might be a good option for you.by TL - Tips and Deals
I recently bought a new (to me) display for my Pismo off eBay. It was in pretty close to mint condition, and was reasonably priced given the condition. The seller also offered a moneyback guarantee, which most eBay sellers don't (I wasn't about to go for an as-is screen). He usually has at least a couple of displays available, so if you're interested, PM me for his ID.by TL - Tips and Deals

G'man, do you mean a certificate of mailing? The IRS accepts those only to verify the data of mailing if the postmark is unreadable. If the return is lost, the IRS won't accept the certificate of mailing as proof of mailing the return on time. Weird, I know, but that's the policy.by TL - Tips and Deals
